Petition to eliminate the Polictal Sub Forum

Rather than hiding politics in its own area; seeing as how its the only topics that anyone actually puts real effort into why dont we de compartmentalize it and just merge the two forums back together.
Its becoming silly that in order to do a parody of policital stuff you have to do it in the main forum because the politics forum isnt for jokes, and in order to do a post thats even remotely political it has to be shoved off into politics forum instead.
Why are we still even doing any of this?

You make several great points.
But if you stopped separating "Politics" from the rest of the forum the Forum sidebar would just be a stream of "Israel is killing babies" posts from Jamie.
Instead, it is 50% replies in forum games (most of which also come from Jamie lol) and the occasional trolling post. These at least seem a little friendlier.

At this point would anyone actually intervene if we just started posting threads with names like that on the general forum?

I confirm that I would post this information outside the politics area if there were no separate politics area.
I see no issue with that.
The free pass that Israel gets is sickening and must be challenged at all times.
The media describes the release of "Israeli hostages" and "Palestinian prisoners" without explaining that a majority of the Palestinian "prisoners" in question are children and young women arrested indefinitely without charge. How are they "prisoners" yet if you're an Israeli you get to be treated as a "hostage"??

Still might be good to have the politics firewall so that conversations like that don't take up too much real estate on the front page of WebDip

I don't see any antisemitism in this discussion.
Criticism of Israel is not automatically antisemitism, however much Israel tries to trick the world into thinking that is the case.
