Alas dear readers VILE BARBARIANS now pose an Existential Threat to the Happiness of Daffy, Dusty MM in his Battered Beach Shack home near Paradise Lost Cove.
A Strengthening of my domestic defenses is required.
Many more small loads of bluestone from my Cut Above Quarry site will be needed to build the thick strong stone boundary walls I have decided are required to protect my home.
The physical work will be excellent exercise for my ageing body.
I do enjoy digging with a long handle spade, it's moving the wheelbarrow loads of dirt that I find irksome.
I also like making concrete in my concrete mixer and using the concrete for building works.
The Romans were excellent builders using stone, fired clay bricks, and tiles, timbers and metals, and wonderful designers and builders of fortified buildings for different uses.
I will add the use of modern electrical and electronic technologies to Roman inspired building designs and construction materials to my designs and construction adapted to the small piece of Australian land on which I live.
With an emphasis on using recycled building materials.
