I decided to check the all time leaderboards for ratings on this game just to prove to myself that I’m not in last place, but then it said this:

“You are ranked #28179 out of 28178 players“

I’m gonna have to change to Axis and Allies or Risk, it seems.

Seriously, this game DOES have an objective mathematical element. But it also has a subjective, 'not-so-measurable' aspect. Did you have a good time playing? Did you learn about yourself, or human nature? Was there that ONE plan that worked out, and made your heart leap, even as you were crushed?

It is more than the score, pengwinja.

Looks like an off-by-one error in the calculation.

Another possibility would be that the displayed total is just outdated.

Your rank number is almost the biggest. That is quite good. :)

Everyone goes through ups and downs in games like this. Just remember, it’s all about the experience and the laughs along the way. :)

I never had any friends to stab in the first place. There is no victory.

Peng, have you seen the ghost rating challenge in the "new games" section of the forum? You should get in on that, you'll be playing people of similar skill... (and I've got to pimp it out 'cause I'd love to see a fourth game filled. :D )

The 28178 only includes players with a Ghost Rating over 100. If you can find a way to gain like 10 rating points, you'll improve your position by over 10000 spots.

Ultimately though, stats-watching is pretty counterproductive. Have fun playing and chatting with people who share at least one interest with you. You can also try out other formats if you're struggling to find good allies via press.

Peng's *full press* position is 10,699 which is much higher than his FP+Gunboat GR position of 38,923. Based on who is in the game now, his FP rating would put him in the third GR challenge game (and he'd be the highest rated player in it!)
