Should we nuke the earths core

#1 Post by brainbomb » Sat Jul 06, 2024 6:18 pm

The Earths core is not spinning properly anymore. Should we send diamond encrusted drilling vehicles rigged with H bombs deep into the Earth in an effort to stop corruption in College Football.

Only if the corruption in the NFL continues. It's more fun that way.

How would you drill through the stone pressed together by gravity?

So let me get this straight, you want to nuke a hole in the earth to create an opening to the core of the planet, to use ANOTHER nuke on the core itself?

The wild part is, this would be a saner way to use humanity's nuclear arsenal than what is currently envisioned.

Even if you could drill so narrow hole that the gravity doesn't immediately close it (you can't), how would you pipe the nuclear bomb through it? :smirk:

It might not be a good idea to drill into the core - see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inferno_(Doctor_Who)

Very good point. We should let the children press the button. They'd love that

Wait a minute. Who says the earth is not spinning properly? It has just slowed a little down. After all, it is quite an old lady by now.

This is fake news. An internet search tells me that there aren't any images of Gaia as an old lady.
