While walking near the pond the other day. Major Mitchell found an old man with a bad of bread crumbs. He rode over to the man on his motorized scooter to ask if he could borrow some of the breadcrumbs. The old man stared at him and said, no but I could offer you some lemonade.

Major Mitchell got confused and then asked "hey got any grapes?"

then all of a sudden Daffy Duck showed up with an old German Luger and shot the old man in the abdomen. He began bleeding breadcrumbs instead of blood and the ducks swarmed the man, tearing him to bits from limb to limb.

Major Mitchell was troubled but offered the gunman an opportunity to explain himself. Daffy Duck aimed the Luger at Major Mitchell and said washzzaa goannna dew biitcsh? huh? you wantsch a peiasch of thish?

Gee thanks Dipbro Brainbomb, giving Daffy Duck a Luger pistol.
As a general rule, it's easier to disarm an opponent with a long barrel firearm and shoot them with their own gun than disarm an opponent with a pistol and shoot them with their pistol.
The general rule is to move closer to an opponent with a long barrel firearm to disarm them and move away from the blighter with a pistol and get them to waste bullets / escape

So it comes down to who can psychologically manipulate the other person.

Daffy Duck.. use his vanity to create the opportunity to get close enough & take a high risk tactic to get the Luger, if it works, it's Duck L'Orange for dinner.

Look them straight in the eyes. It’s harder to pull the trigger if you see their large, beady eyes.

In this story the old man was actually just the devil in disguise. The key giveaway was that he was loitering at the duck pond waiting to collect lost souls. Also, the offering of "lemonade" is a red flag.
