Rhapsody's Dawn of Victory is impeccable. Incredibly cheesy, but the music is amazing. "Trolls in the Dark" was one of the first two metal songs I ever heard (the other being "Bleak" by Opeth).
Celesty's Reign of Elements and Legacy of Hate are phenomenal. Probably my favourite power metal albums. They got kind of weird after those first two albums, though.
Nightwish's Wishmaster is a fantastic album.
Sonata Arctica's Ecliptica is really good. It's super emo, but... very enjoyable. "Wolf and Raven" is their best tune that I can think of, although it's not on that album.
Stratovarius is classic, but 95% of their songs are garbage. But the 5%, like "Black Diamond" and "Speed of Light," are just classic.

Oh, and you absolutely have to listen to "Seasonspeech" by Elvenking. Easily one of the greatest power metal songs ever written.

Gamma Ray
Brothers of Metal
Beast in Black
Avantasia
Bloodbound
Hammerfall
Iron Savior
Powerwolf
Sabaton

Is that enough for now?

I have never heard of Celesty's Reign of Elements and Legacy of Hate, but i will give those albums a try

I am not really a fan of Nightwish.
Sonata Arctica is really good, i listen to them often! Wolf and Raven is their best song in my opinion indeed.
How dare you to say that 95% of Stratovarius is garbage? I really like their music :) I think the albums 'Eternal' and 'Nemesis' are their best albums.
But thank you for your reply!

Btw don't you think this is the best power metal song there is? https://youtu.be/0jgrCKhxE1s
Re: does anyone know good (power) metal bands?
Even if Helloween is not your thing, you should definitely keep an eye on the song:

And maybe you should give the two Keepers albums another chance.
Do you know Sinbreed:

or Dragony:

Re: does anyone know good (power) metal bands?
Why power metal that’s like the worst of the metal subgenres. Doom, sludge, stoner, death, black, and even some prog metal are better
Now, if you’re asking for metal bands in general, check out
Sleep
Electric Wizard
Elder
SLIFT
Inter Arma
Devourment
Agalloch
Infant annihilator
Ulcerate
Deafheaven
Boris
Jesu
Sunn O)))
There’s countless more, pm me if interested
