Bird Box was a practice in mediocrity and I’m willing to fight about it.
Also this year’s Oscars are already looking pretty trash.

Birdbox is an exploration in the horrors of the mind and a work of cinematic and internet meme greatness. Take off your blindfolds and behold the true beauty of Sandra Bullock!

Bullock is great at acting and the concept of the film is decent, but acting and concept aren’t enough to make it good, let alone great.
It’s really just a shame Sandra Bullock now has to have her name attached to something this mediocre.

Sandra Bullock is not great at acting. She is average, and super overrated.

Is this movie threatening because the romance subplot features an older woman having a relationship with a younger guy, rather than the (standard) other way around?

How did you come to this conclusion? Disclaimer: I haven't actually seen it yet...

Also, what happened to John Malcovich? Are he and Nic Cage having a contest on who can over-act the most?

I would say I was much more threatened by the film’s inability to find a consistent tone.

Why do certain people attempt to diagnose people who say they don't like something with weird pathologies and feelings of deep-seeded insecurities instead of just taking what they say at face value? I've never understood the desire to negate someone's opinion and try to make it Freudian. 'You don't like Birdbox because a young man gets with and older woman!' Maybe when he says it sucks, he just means it sucks.

I read it before the movie and book was better than the movie.
I was ruined when I saw they show 'the things' in the movie. Movie was also good. I was expecting this to be filmed.

I didn’t even know the half of it. Announcing certain winners during commercial break?? Two of those being Cinematography and Editing???? This is awful and stupid.
