Got smacked by Sweden Ankara and Norway

I tried replacing a Civil Disorder for an Ancient Med game once. It seemed pretty far from normal Diplomacy because the center is entirely taken up by ocean. I feel like Diplomacy wasn't designed for ocean-based maps. Classic Chaos is obviously fun but extremely unbalanced because of how much it matters if you get somewhere good (say, Portugal) or somewhere horrible (say, Serbia).
