Quick Question.....?

It's been a while since a certain former marine was banned/left the site. As I recall all members were banned from whispering his name even in the darkest corner of the old forum. Is this still the case, or can we now refer to him by name? I seem to recall that the threat level to the site was raised to puce as the former marine had talked about a DDoS attack. Has the threat level been eased yet?

Such questions, and others, still keep me awake at night, so I'd appreciate some answer.

I think it was about 6 months ago that a thread got deleted for making indirect reference to he who must not be named. So I think the threat level (which, as I understand it, extended beyond DDOS attack to potential legal action) hasn’t changed.

Just drop it, he doesn't want to be mentioned badly enough that he threatened lawsuits if his name was mentioned. Go talk to him on vDip if you want.

My understanding is that D who must not be named is only rarely visits vdip these days. Remarkably he managed to be a regular member of vdip for many years without the site imploding or declarations of war.

Yeah, most people that get banned here end up behaving well enough on vDip that I don't also have to ban them there. It's weird how following the rules prevents you from being banned right?
