Call for participants
Hi all,
My name is Maayan Orner, I am a master's student at Bar Ilan University, and my field of study is computer science (AI).
We are conducting an experiment and need Diplomacy players.
The experiment takes approximately ~1 hour and is for academic purposes only (university research).
During the experiment, you will be asked questions about different board states, and answer them in the form of a questionnaire.
If you are interested, we are also able to pay for your time with an Amazon gift card, so it might be appealing to students :).
If you are interested in knowing more details, please email [email protected]
To validate your identity, I would ask you to title the message as "webdip (your username)", and also send me a private message here. Alternatively, if you are a new user here (users with many messages will be strongly preferred), you can share your LinkedIn profile/social media in the email. I do not ask for that, but we need some way to validate the authenticity of participants.
Thanks!

Re: Call for participants
Might as well join. Is there any way we'll be able to see the results?

Re: Call for participants
I appreciate your willingness to help so much!
You can never know in advance if a paper will be published but if it won't we will definitely put it in arXiv (and if it will pass reviews it will also be public).
Anyone who participates (or who doesn't) will be able to see the results (of course, aggregated and anonymized) :)

Re: Call for participants
We just had a few experiments, and it went (extremely) well, in my opinion (I have had a lot of fun and learned a lot & the feedback was helpful).
First, I would like to say thank you to the people who agreed to help, and secondly, I would love to have more participants from this amazing community, so email me if you are interested :).
Thank you so much!

Re: Call for participants
I participated in the study this morning.
Scheduling the experiment was straightforward. Maayan was an excellent host. The study was well-organized and easy to follow. I had fun working through the scenarios. I am very eager to see the paper upon its release.

Thanks, guys,
I appreciate your kind words.
So far, it has been a pleasure to work with all of the participants from this community, without any exception. Things go amazingly smoothly and your feedback is highly useful for our research.
