24, going on 25 (pls no, quarter life crisis incoming). Started playing when I was 13 or 14. Last of the millennials.

43. Just started playing diplomacy now, both live (table-top) and online. I’ve been wanting to play for a long time, but now it’s happening. Loving it, it’s a great game. Fascinating how different the game is online compared to live/table-top

At 63 I'm even older than Dargo, but still born in the second half of the past century.
I played some face-to-face games in my thirties, then just had a look at some PBMs/PBEMs, and eventually discovered this site a couple of years ago

I guess I'm still young at 36. Played the first time when I was 14 or 15 or so.

26, started playing when I was 15, so in a few years time I'll officially be able to say I've been playing Diplomacy for half my life

I belong to the "Internet Generation." People in my age group use online sites extensively, with registered accounts across hundreds or thousands of forums. We were all born on January 1, 1901.

I just turned 18 as well. Started playing when I was 16 with my world history class.

Re: How Old are Diplomacy Players
My first postal game was number 1972A in the old Boardman numbering system. 1972 is the year the game started and the "A" tells you it was the first postal game of that year. It was played in John Boardman's "Graustark" 'zine. So I am old -- 69 going on 12. Actually got to play face to face at John Boardman's house in Brooklyn one time.
