The Case of the Fibonacci Sequence and Diplomacy
I spent FAR too much time analyzing number-type things, attempting to see if the progression of Supply Center totals leading to a victory on our classic board follow any sort of fibonacci sequence.
The answer appears to be, 'no.'
The answer appears to be, 'no.'
Re: The Case of the Fibonacci Sequence and Diplomacy
Not every win would be in Fibonacci sequence but every Fibonacci sequence in SC count would result in a win.

Be careful, if we count any further they'll have to move this thread into Forum Games.

Some of y'all should withdraw the +1s on ATC and Chaqa to fit the pattern.

How heated can a discussion on Fibonacci sequences get though?dargorygel wrote: ↑Fri Jan 08, 2021 8:37 pmSHHHHH...

Re: The Case of the Fibonacci Sequence and Diplomacy
I have made the +1 counts in this thread members of the Fibonacci sequence, where possible. I encourage others to do the same.

Re: The Case of the Fibonacci Sequence and Diplomacy
I don't know about all this +1 stuff, but the initial premise makes sense. Its the reason (partly) that russia tends to solo more oftenthan most nations. Start with 4, and our max gain is 4. Start with 3, and our max gain is 3. On an empty board with no interference, fibonacci would happen ... or rather, closer to exponential growth, doubling every round, or as close to as you can with a 3 build maximum
