Problem with PMs - am I stupid?
I am not able to send PMs to certain users. I get the error that the user does not exist. They definitely exist so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

If they haven't logged into the forum yet, their account doesn't yet exist on the forum. When you open the forum, your account is automatically registered and then the PM system on the forum works. You can still send PMs through the previous PM system.

Re: Problem with PMs - am I stupid?
Outbox messages are usually messages that are in the process of sending where as a sent message has been sent and is no longer in progress
Re: Problem with PMs - am I stupid?
okay that's what i thought. i have some messages sitting in my outbox. is there some other step i have to take to get messages in my outbox to send? or is this a bug?
Re: Problem with PMs - am I stupid?
Weird.. it's not like the messages have to go anywhere, it's all just one database.

I believe they stay highlighted in your outbox until the person you send them to had read them.

That's how I think it works on PlayDip, anyway. And we've largely adopted the same system.
Re: Problem with PMs - am I stupid?
That makes sense; I got a response and they had moved to my sent folder.
