I'm curious again. How often do you look at the map while composing messages?

Depends upon the nature of the message. If we're arguing over stalemate lines and stab possibilities, I study quite carefully. In the early game I almost never do. But if you're playing as long as I have, then you have the maps and openings all memorized anyways. A newer player should consult frequently
