Funny builds phase behaviour

#1 Post by gimix » Tue Apr 07, 2020 12:40 pm

Hello
A game i am in is in a builds phase, and i am to build one unit (it is an anon game, so i cannot say more). I can select army or fleet, and where to build it, just as usual. But i don't have the Save button, only the Ready/Not Ready one. I checked another game where we're in the same phase, and of course the two buttons are there. This is both on my mobile and on my PC.

Not a big problem indeed, but just out of curiosity... is it a standard behaviour under some specific circumstances (and i never noticed it), or what happened? Did it occurred to anybody else?

Thanks

This is completely standard for games with Rulebook Press. They're supposed to mimic F2F play, which only allows a minute or so for Retreats/Builds because that time is substracted from the next phase. Here, instead, we encourage Readying up those Builds.

Bear in mind that you're allowed to talk freely about anonymous games, even reveal your identity, but not about any form of Gunboat (anon or not).

If you're not the last person to ready up your builds, then you can "unready" them, which makes then saved but not readied...

Thanks to you both
With some 70 games played I believe this one is my first Rulebook Press game :o
But i can see it totally makes sense (now that you explained it)
