Bots not entering orders

There's heaps of games in Open Games that were BlighterDalekBot games where the befuddled BlighterDalekBot players have been expelled for not submitting orders & you can join & put in orders but they're stalled as is my game Floggy88(?) which I set up against BlighterDalekBots. I like playing against the BlighterDalekBots. Safer than playing with Goldfinger as your more powerful alliance partner as Das Urkomisch Ausglassen Dargorygel has discovered.

Hi all, this is because of an SSL certificate error on old.webdiplomacy.net, which points to this server. The bots are using old.webdiplomacy.net and new.webdiplomacy.net so that the server move will go smoothly, but it does mean old.webdiplomacy.net needs a proper certificate.

Unfortunately the certificate provider is down for maintenance so it'll be a bit of time, apologies I will post when the bots are back online. If you want me to pause any games in the meantime let me know.

Thanks for letting us know about this all; this should now be resolved.

FYI in case you're wondering what all these certificate errors are about; we use letsencrypt.org which gives free automatic certificates, but they've upgraded their protocol recently and the old software is getting retired in a couple of months and isn't compatible with our server, which means we've needed to hack around to get the certificates working. We'll be moving to a new server within the next couple of months

There's been a lot of bot games that people have taken over playing for bots that missed 4 turns. What will happen to those games?

Yea, having the same issue. Hopefully it gets resolved soon. They had shut down the site for 20 minutes yesterday for maintenance. Maybe that messed something up.

Notably, I think the bots will still work in the France vs. Austria and Germany vs. Italy scenarios but not in Classic.
