Unable to turn off notifications from finished game
Some people are making small talk in the Global tab of a game that has finished, and which I have absolutely no interest in.
How can I disable top-of-page notifications about the (irrelevant, uninteresting) new messages in this completed game?

Re: I DEMAND JUSTICE
The ForumBarTender slides a Bourbon and 7-Up to Jamie the T... there is only ice in the glass.
(We do not have the capability of fine-tuning our forum display, individually. However, I like this idea, and have written a professional message to kestas concerning it.)

Re: Unable to turn off notifications from finished game
There is a "disable notices" option for games currently in progress (for example so that you can turn off notifications triggered by global press in a game you've been eliminated from).
Why does this option become unavailable once the game has finished?

One agrees with the logic and hopefulness of this statement. I have passed the enquiry on to those with secret code power.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 12:48 pmThere is a "disable notices" option for games currently in progress (for example so that you can turn off notifications triggered by global press in a game you've been eliminated from).

There are people here with secret access to the powers of demersal fish of the genus Gadus? Wow, that's amazing.
Oh no, wait! That's secret cod powers. Totally different.

BUMP
It is stupid that this functionality is not properly worked out.

Is the issue that once the game is over it disappears off your home page, and that’s where the disable notices button appears? If so the fix is probably to add the disable notices button to the board pageJamiet99uk wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 1:50 amBUMP

The opposite, actually, kestas. Jamie is desiring to have finished games' discussions disabled. While the game is playing, we can disable the forum discussions concerning it. But when the game finishes, the discussions are visible and other than holding our hand in front of it, not hideable.kestasjk wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 5:44 amIs the issue that once the game is over it disappears off your home page, and that’s where the disable notices button appears? The "Disable Notices" button is on the front page, under the right hand "My Games" and "Defeated Games" section. Each game listed there has a "Disable Notices" thing you can click on. But when the game ends, that's no longer available.

Re: Unable to turn off notifications from finished game
Righto I can do that, I'll add a disable notices button to the board itself. Might be a few weeks though I can only sustain a dev cycle every month or so
I'm trying to implement as much as possible via the API so that it can be done from the new UI and the old UI, so the sandbox functionality for example is done via the API now, and we've got calls that can call the API from buttons on the old page, this way people will be able to add their own e.g. mobile UIs that can interface with this server (and other servers that implement it)
