Tyr sea and Gol
Tyr sea and Gol
Probably I am not the first one to ask, but isn’t it a mistake that Tyr Sea and Gol are connected in Modern Diplomacy 2? The waters are definitely not connected on the map.
Re: Tyr sea and Gol
I think I see literally one pixel of blue water between the island of Sardinia and the border with Ligurian Sea on the regular map. The adjacency is clearer on the large map.
There is a questionable adjacency between Arctic Ocean and Northwest Territories in Fall of the American Empire IV.

Keep in mind that these variants were not invented for webDiplomacy. The original variant author intended those adjacencies, as archived here:

So webDiplomacy just respects the original game design.

Ok, no problem, but I don’t see the pixel 90kicvesb mentions. I think it’s a mistake in game-design, but I am still happy somebody invented Modern Diplomacy.

Sardinia and Corsica do not touch: there's the Strait of Bonifacio (Bocche di Bonifacio) in between, so Tyrrhenian Sea and Gulf of Lyons are connected in reality. However the strait is just 11 kms wide, so on a small map it can be barely visible.

This is a bit of a tangent and I know not what you were referencing, but WebDip respects the original design except for one key difference. Per your link (and other sources), Russia's setup is supposed to be:JECE wrote: ↑Wed Jan 25, 2023 2:51 amKeep in mind that these variants were not invented for webDiplomacy. "Russia (R) : A GOR, A MOS, A MUR, F ROS, F STP"
WebDip and VDip have it as F MUR instead of A MUR (from what I believe was a coding error in the initial translation to this site that was never fixed). This swap makes Russia by far the worst country in Modern Dip and by extension boosts all of Russia's neighbors (but most notably Germany and Poland).

Sounds like you should put in a bug report!Aristocrat wrote: ↑Wed Jan 25, 2023 3:26 pmThis is a bit of a tangent and I know not what you were referencing, but WebDip respects the original design except for one key difference.
