I'm a stone's throw away from emc's GR (on the better side thankfully). But still, I'm excited to see how quickly I can get crushed as good countries like France and Turkey.davidclaridge wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 6:48 amI stand corrected, looks like my GR is 121 \o/davidclaridge wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 6:30 amYour GR is ahead of mine Bob. I can see them here: https://webdiplomacy.net/tournamentScor ... amentID=11 Does that link work for you? Can you see the participants?

Re: Announcing the 2020 Masters Tournament
Apologies everyone. In setting up the tournament, I realized that the sets I had made allowed for the breaking of anon fairly easily. I've been working all night on a new lineup of matches, and should be done tomorrow (It is surprisingly easy to make a configuration where you play every country and player once, yet surprisingly hard to do so in a quasi-random fashion while still balancing for equal Strength of Schedule).
To answer the obvious question, I didn't want to copy from previous iterations of the tournament either. Anonymity is very important, especially earlier on, and I wouldn't want some village idiot being able to break anon.

Re: Announcing the 2020 Masters Tournament
Hello everyone! I've sent out some of the first PMs for the games, but it is late so I shall get to the rest tomorrow. If you see someone leaving the game after you join, don't worry it's just me.
I promise to have a more complete kick-off message tomorrow :)

Which tomorrow? Standard tomorrow or Chaqa tomorrow? I haven't got mine either.goldfinger0303 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 8:14 amHello everyone! Re: Announcing the 2020 Masters Tournament
Thank you to everyone for the gentle reminders I wasn't doing my job :)
All invites for Rounds 1 and 2 have been sent out, save for a handful of Round 1 invites. I misread my spreadsheet for a few names last week, so I'm waiting on a few people to drop from R1G1 and R1G2 before I send the correct players their invites.
Let me know if you have any difficulties joining or any other problems (such as getting two invites for the same round lol.....please I hope that didn't happen)

Okay, everyone should have their games now. I'll be shuffling the games and getting them started as they fill up. Best of luck!

A friendly reminder to everyone - if I force you into CD to remove you from a game, do not check that game. Do not open that game. Doing so puts you out of CD and back into the game, and delays your replacement. Thanks!

Will you post a message in global saying the games are good-to-go for both the R1 and R2 games?

*Whew*
It took a little doing, but all games are off and running! Now be good and don't make me do any work until Christmas, ya hear? Happy stabbing, everyone.

If any Americans would like a pause for Thanksgiving, please PM me tonight or tomorrow. Otherwise, we'll keep rolling along. I won't be able to check the site much on Turkey Day.
