And Octavious misses my point. He probably hates Midnight Mass... so anticipation is not the right word. Maybe denticipation, in that case?

I think his point is that during midnight mass he's waiting for Christmas, which will start once the mass ends, and since he's stuck in church, time stretches out towards infinity, and you feel as if you've never not been there, and the seconds are drawn into hours which are drawn into days which are drawn into millennia, all of it crawling around and thorugh you at a pace that would make a snail die out of complete and utter boredom, and you're brought past the brink of sanity over and over again until this place that others claim is holy loses its disguise, and you discover it for the hell it truly is! And then, and only then you realize that this time will never come to an end.dargorygel wrote: ↑Fri Mar 23, 2018 1:31 am

Yeah, I may have had very Catholic relatives. So Catholic that a good percentage of them became priests. So I may have a bit of a bias. just a bit

Everyone, please be sure to check your FORUM PMs
That is my preferred method of contact for this tournament, as I can actually track who I get in touch with and what they've told me.
Captains: If your teammates are not in their games yet, I want you on their case. It should not take 5 days to get everyone in their games. By tonight I want to see all the games up and running.

I have also been in contact with the 4 players that everyone is waiting on. You know who you are. Join your games.

Yeah, the dark art of working out who's who is the only advantage some teams have. Take that away and they'll have to resort to diplomacy. :)

Okay, Groups A and B are off! We're still waiting on someone to join the last Group C game before I can launch those.
Re: World Cup 2018 Signups!
So were we shuffled? I didn't see a message in the game telling us that we were shuffled.

All games in both groups had to be shuffled, yes. There is still a 1/7 chance you're the same country as before.

Okay, all games in Group C have been joined! First glance says no reshuffling needed, but I'm gonna wait until morning when I have a non-tired set of eyes to double check.
Re: World Cup 2018 Signups!
Any particular reason why "2018 World Cup Group C GB1" game is still Paused when its fully subscribed with all orders set?
Re: World Cup 2018 Signups!
Has it been reshuffled? If so, someone might've entered orders for two.
Otherwise, someone might be unavailable to enter the next set of orders. Processing now and then pausing again would give the other teams an unfair advantage. Also, there's no point.
Re: World Cup 2018 Signups!
On the link HERE! I find teams and team members in alphabetical order. I also find which teams are in which group A, B or C.
But, I do not find, which team members are playing what games: FP1, FP2, PP or GB. And I do not find the country assignments for teams and players in the different games that have started.
So my questions are:
- Is this info omitted on purpose and will it stay this way?
- I hope that no-one except the TD has access to this hidden info, correct? (since everyone playing should have acces to the same info)

Re: World Cup 2018 Signups!
Sorry, I had a busy weekend! I'll get to the rest of the Group C games after work. All but one of them had pause requests at least through the weekend, so I didn't see much urgency in getting everything done.

This info *is* omitted on purpose and will stay that way. Nobody but me knows how the countries are shuffled. And nobody outside your team and myself knows the game assignments for players. I've included players who are subs in the list as well, all in an attempt to reduce the ability to guess power identities. But if Bob and Joe have played each other 1000 times and know each other's press styles....well, there's nothing I can do about that.peterlund wrote: ↑Mon Mar 26, 2018 3:58 pmOn the link HERE!
