I'm pretty sure you got the 27th spot, didn't you?osric_athanasius wrote: ↑Sun Jul 28, 2019 6:32 amI believe that this result knocks me out of the top 27.

Re: ODC 2019 Tournament Start
I did the maths since it does not look like the official scores have been updated yet. It looks like bozotheclown and Magnetic24 jump me pushing me to 28th.
Re: ODC 2019 Tournament Start
For casual readers who have not slavishly followed the debate on the presentation of the standings it is the top 28 that go through as you would expect but this is number 27 on the listing due to a doubling of two players on exactly the same score - this is why top 27 is referred to.
@osric - at least goldfinger has already declared he will not be playing in the next round so that makes one more spot available.
What becomes a bit of a headache for our beloved tournament director is that the next three players are all tied on 50 points, two of which achieved it in the same game. Should say only one more spot open up...

Re: ODC 2019 Tournament Start
There’s always one or two people who end up unable to continue so I wouldn’t fret too much over it yet until the dust settles.
Re: ODC 2019 Tournament Start
I need more than one or two bowing out. I'll have to be proactive about making space.

Durga,
I know you are keen on maintaining the mask of anonymity - which I of course support - so I just wanted to check something. Can I assume given the number of players and that this information is deducible pretty quickly that sharing broad time zones (eg us, Europe, rest of the world) is ok straight from the off?

Once the dust settles on players bowing out, do we get to know who the final list of semi-finalists will be? Just for the fun of knowing who's in the race.
Would also be cool to know the breakdown of where the semi-finalists come from (in terms of site and FTF). I like me some back story intrigue!

Ha! Give VI the tiniest speck of info about who is in he semi-final, and he'll tell you who is playing what country in every game by 1902.VillageIdiot wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 7:03 pmOnce the dust settles on players bowing out, do we get to know who the final list of semi-finalists will be? Great: all games have (finally) started! I share VI's curiosity on the final list of semi-finalists. Thank you again for organising Durga : we all realize it requires quite the effort!
Re: ODC 2019 Tournament Start
I play every country in the semi finals. There you go. There's the list :)

Hey, if anyone is attempting to use a scripted bot to try and pull data on the ODC games, please stop before I'm forced to find your IP and ban you for what I'll be forced to assume is a malicious attack.
Re: ODC 2019 Tournament Start
Additionally, said hypothetical attempts have not worked, are not working, and will not work, so please stop hypothetically wasting bandwidth.
