Who are you calling crazy tits?
(for politically correct and overly sensitive readers, tits in this case refers to the birds)

No recall of “The Liver Birds” vintage 70’s? Now there were some wonderful pairs of “coloured sparrows”:-)

Re: Announcing the 2020 Masters Tournament
Hello everyone! So games are progressing at their own paces - some slow some fast - but we're all into 1903 right now so I just wanted to throw out some stats from the opening year of games. Should be far enough into the past to post some meta-commentary. Some interesting patterns I've seen.
1) England went for Belgium 8/14 times. They were successful 5 times. In total England went for a continental SC 10/14 times (and this is despite the R2G7 screw-up!). I don't know what the normal opening stats are for England, but that seems aggressive. I like it!
2) WE HAVE A SUCCESSFUL KEY LEPANTO. Crazy seeing that in a tournament, but I'm so happy it happened. Italy attacked Austria 3 out of 14 times and moved to PIE 4 out of 14 times.
3) Turkey took the Black Sea 6 times, and Russia twice.
4) Russia had BOTH Sweden and Rum denied or contested 3 times.
5) There have been 0 6 SC Germanys and just one 6SC France in 1901.
6) The average number of neutral SCs available after 1901 is 1.35, with just 4 games having all the neutrals captured in the first year.
That's about it for now. Obviously can't point out specific games or more recent developments, but I will intermittently post interesting things with the tournament as it goes on.

Re: Announcing the 2020 Masters Tournament
Hi everyone. Now that we're in the thick of games, I just wanted to make sure everyone is clear on the scoring of the tournament. If the same amount of you read the tournament rules that read my instructions on joining games....well, I'm sure confusion is happening lol. So, here it is:
Solos: 1 point
Anything else: 0 points.
Pretty simple, huh?. First tiebreak will go to someone with the most board tops (tie boards are split). Second tiebreak is strength of schedule.

Re: Announcing the 2020 Masters Tournament
As a reminder, starting Sunday I'll be pausing games as the phase ends. So if Sunday morning your game is in a phase, I'll let it play out and pause it when it turns over.

Everything is out now. And some have already started! I'll be giving those the green light a little later tonight.

Re: Announcing the 2020 Masters Tournament
Hey everyone. With the round 1 and 2 games starting to finish up, I've discovered I don't have the ability to write "Board top" in the scores. So board tops will be represented by scores of 0.1, which should suit our purposes.

Re: Announcing the 2020 Masters Tournament
Hello everyone. With the majority of Round 1&2 games finished and most Round 3 games well into the mid-game, I'll be starting up Round 4 this weekend. So far we're still roughly on schedule for starting a round every 5-6 weeks.

Re: Announcing the 2020 Masters Tournament
After goldfinger0303's prompt, I register as a player in the Masters Tournament though no master by any means. I just replaced one player who had to leave the game.
