btw, how are "top x" defined? Based on winners bracket or final finish?

I would think it would be last x eliminated, so would be based on the loser's bracket.

It is based on losers bracket

So I guess it's like...

In F/A I got kicked to losers bracket from the last 16 in the winners bracket.

I'm now in a new round of 16 there, plus there's 8 alive in winners... so I guess it's win this round make final 16?
After that it's a new round of 8 (4 games), and then another round of 8 (4 games), so I guess win both gets you into final 8?

And then two 4-player rounds gets you to final 4? And then I guess it's the person who advances to finals from losers bracket is just the top 2 then?
