So.... Are we actually gonna have a game...?
Last player should be joining today/tomorrow.
They said they were busy until Sunday.
Sorry, I should have updated everyone, hopefully we start soon.
It's on, off we go!

Re: I am the G.O.A.T. of press - Any worthy challangers?

I feel like most people detect Goats by eyesight, but I suppose annoyance could work too. Two different Spam threads are now on top of this one in the home screen. We gotta do our part so people think that some humans still use this site! My goats can be *very* annoying, mostly getting into places ...

Re: Forgiveness is a matter of eternal life and death

For an interesting take on forgiveness, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-gxpTOTozE&t=5007s

It's a relatively well-known voice actor (at least here in the States - Maurice Lamarche) talking about a chance encounter he had with the Dalai Lama.

Doug - I respect your bravery
Can we get a few more?
The current basketball coach at my college alma mater has a public philosophy on opponents - "We'll play anybody, anyplace, anytime. It doesn't matter, morning, noon or night, and it doesn't matter who it is."

I kinda like that philosophy.

In the meantime, if anyone can find there courage, drop your name below and we will see if you are qualified enough to join. I suspect I'm not qualified enough to join (not enough press games here) but for some weird reason am feeling extra sassy today and as such would be willing to give it a go. ...

AAR - Running out of Time

https://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=607812 Technically the game is still going, but I have 18 and there's no retreat of Italy's that going to matter (and processing is stuck), so I'm posting anyway... hope that's ok. Keith Emerson?
No. I would say he is principally known as a keyboard player.
Yeah, the summary doesn't note that but I just realized that a previous post did and was going to delete it but you had already replied. :(

That's funny, I've always found strawberry-rhubarb to be sickly sweet. I think grocery stores and home cooks tend to go overboard with the sugar and strawberries, in an attempt to tame the tartness of the rhubarb.

Re: Rhubarb Pie

Truth be told I don't mind rhubarb. The trouble is that rhubarb plants make far more rhubarb than you could possibly want. Crumble is far inferior to pie, and rhubarb pie is far inferior to apple and blackberry pie (which is the king of desert pies). But a stick of rhubarb dunked in sugar is pleasa...

Re: Rhubarb Pie

Bay leaf kind of reminds me of nutmeg. Your version of vanilla sounds yummy (: Also, I forgot to acknowledge that berries are a fine addition that I forgot about. Yeah, I'd encourage you to try infusing your milk/cream with flavour, since you can do just about anything. Earl Grey is another choice ...

 I would never besmirch the purity of a good custard with anything other than possibly rice. Berries, of course. Wife and I raise chickens so plenty of fresh eggs and custard is one of my favorite "easy to make" desserts. I have not yet attempted the creme brulee sugar top yet, though, ...
