Re: New 5-day-a-phase Classic game
The Masters just started, so I'm going to be devoting my time there. That said, I kinda like the long phase games. So the next time you're in the market for a game like that, you can hit me up. I'd play.

I don't understand the question and I won't respond to it.
In unrelated news, I might need a replacement player for a Public Press game.

And a warm hello to you, too!
I hope you get in a game soon, though if Public Press is something you're down with, I could probably hook that up for you sooner rather than later.
In any case, welcome back! It's good to have you.

Re: Very superstitious
Superstition ain't the way! Stevie Wonder aside, are you talking about a lucky charm as in a certain move set? A style of press, or a thing you do in press every time? You're not talking about, like, dangling a rabbit's foot off the corner of your monitor or anything like that, right? This could be ...

I'm reading the first Altered Carbon, by Richard K. Morgan. I saw the trailer for the Netflix show, so naturally I went out and got the book.

Re: School of War Summer 2019
Greetings students and observers. My name is Yigg, and I have been cordially asked to give a guest lecture by our esteemed professors. Before I begin, I would like to take a moment and graciously thank our professors not only for their considerable time and energy devoted to this School of War, but ...

Play Wilsonian With Me!
Hello webDippers! Someone in Discord got me thinking that I need to get a good Public Press game going. So I'm doing just that! If you think you'd enjoy a Wilsonian game, or just feel like playing with me because we had a good game before, check it out! It's set up for 2 Day turns for lively time to...

I would be more than willing to either function as a Mentor for this game, or as a player (because I can always be a better Yigg). You are welcome to use me as best you see fit.

Re: Diplomacy club
I would have to second the notion that you'd want a Teacher or Staff member to champion your cause. If you don't have an idea who to ask, depending on who they are, a good place to start might be your school Librarian. A typical Librarian is no big fan of censorship and blocking, a fan of history, a...

Re: Colonial Diplomacy: The OG variant
This is also a favorite of mine. Maybe it's the nostalgia of playing a lot of it in the mid 90's, but I loved it imbalance and all. It's a gorgeous board, which of course doesn't translate here on webDip, but still. I'd sooner play this than any other variant, honestly.

Re: Drawing is the new winning?
My involvement in this hobby came from a place where fellow wargamers would get together to play a game. There were no points to be had or scores to maintain, just the thrill of fight and the braggadocio to be had. So the debate of point systems has always felt foreign and irrelevant to me. What I'v...
