Re: Why does god always whisper?

I don't know how you can say that Jesus communicated with a single person alone. Jesus's ministry was extremely public, often preaching to thousands of people at the same time. The short/simple reason why God often spoke to a single priest at any given time in the Old Testament is because priests ac...

Re: What makes your life worth living?

Ok so just to be clear, if a 6 month old baby gets a painful disease and dies, this is just and proper, because the baby is sinful and deserves to suffer. This is your view? @Oct: See, as I mentioned, here is a Christian arguing that babies are sinful from birth. Your assumption is that all sufferi...

Re: What makes your life worth living?

I would highly encourage you to look at the world around you, in which babies and infants die painful deaths in their dozens every day, and ask yourself "why does God will this?" You will tell me, of course, that these babies and toddlers, who God deems fit to die painful, horrible deaths, are sinn...

Re: What makes your life worth living?

In fact sending His only son to die as an atoning sacrifice for our sins, even though we did not love Him and rebel against Him, is love itself. Also, even just figuratively, I'm amused you think that sending your son to his death is the greatest act of love. What if I had a son, and I arranged for...

Re: What makes your life worth living?

Bullshit, nonsense, hogswallop. The concept of a loving, redeeming God is inconsistent with God's slaughter of babies and toddlers on a regular basis. Either God does not exist or he is evil based on his own capricious demands. Horrible. Do what you want. With love in your heart. If this is your un...

Re: What makes your life worth living?

I follow Jesus to everlasting life. I recollect that he promised to lead to it in the tenth chapter of John. I believe him, because his doctrine is sound and he rose from the dead three days after brutal execution by professional killers; he appeared to his disciples multiple times before ascending...

Re: RR Feedback & Review - have changes achieved their aims?

I am experiencing the same boat as you Wusti. I also make no excuses for my missed turned. I took on too many games at the same time and then life became unexpectedly busy, I shouldn't have joined as many games as I did. I'm happy to take a couple months break to regain some RR from last year but gi...

Re: Freedom!

I'm extremely fortunate to live in Western Australia. Beyond our initial lockdown, that lasted a couple of months, there's only been a few snap lockdowns that have lasted for a week or less. There is only 4 active cases in a state of over 2 million people, all in hotel quarantine. There has only bee...

Re: Anyone down for a 2-day full-press game?

My preference is for it to be anon, less than 50 points and for it to start asap. Don't mind if it is 48 or 50 hours, shouldn't make too much of a difference. Don't mind about the other settings.

Ok so far we have: 48 Hours phase: 1. JRoz 2. BobMcBob 3. Kitsune 4. Wusti 5. Calmar I'm happy to start this game as soon as we get two more Aus/NZ players in.
