Re: Early Diplomacy
Very interesting! But we can't see the game. Kestas made sandbox games private at some point for the privacy of scheming players and now we get this message when trying to see your game: "You can't view this game, it is a sandbox game which you didn't create."

2022 military spending:
U. S. A.: 876,943,200,000 USD
Mexico: 8,535,520,000 USD
Canada: 26,896,320,000 USD
Greece: 8,104,850,000 USD
Turkey: 10,644,580,000 USD

Draw your own conclusions about whether the U. S. figure is used for "defence" or not.

2017? Jamie? He was here long before me and I've been here over a decade  You joined less than a year after Jamiet99uk joined. That was a very important period in the history of webDiplomacy because that's when I joined (I'm famous, you see). Interestingly, you joined webDip on Valentine's Da...

Re: Newbie looking for advice on first victory (:
I think that you got it eventually! Control of the North Sea is critical. Dislodging the English fleet in a Spring phase was smart because you could have popped the fleet without losing a supply center if it tried to retreat to Belgium or something. If you're interested in articles about Diplomacy s...

https://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=632204 Well done! At the risk of stating the obvious, play some games against human players. As for this game, pretty much everything went your way and you were able to play well and take advantage of the minimal opposition that you faced. It took you a real...

Re: Cryptic messages and intrigue
This seems like an awful lot of work for a public press game. When you share the key, wouldn't all the great powers + anyone on the internet be able to decrypt your message? It just seems like it would lightly penalize players who might be limited to accessing the website via their phones or work co...
