Chuck Norris can win at 20 questions before Question 1 has been asked.

Also props to Dip&War for narrowing the birth down to less than four years. When was the last time that happened?

When I guessed Takei, I had forgotten to check whether he was born before May 14. There were a few other people who fit, but nobody nearly as famous as Chuck Norris.

Free guess: Chuck Norris
That is correct! If I were still in high school, I would declare Hominidae the permanent champion of Twenty Questions, since no one could ever top guessing Chuck Norris.

*not an official question*
Why did it take us two questions to figure out the entity is alive?
*not an official question*
*question*
Died before May 14, 1746?
*question*
Question 2 was "Dead male?" and Question 5 was "Dead?". The answer to both is "no".

It's now well-established that this character is alive, so your question is pointless. Not to mention he has appeared on TV, so clearly did not die in the 18th century.
Scratch that.
Born before May 14, 1937?
