That's normal. I learned about TempleOS from a collegue not long ago. I immediately decided that he could be a good 20Q candidate with unique fame.

I also thought of a couple of people like this but either the specific dates, or the Wikipedia letters, don't work.

could it be someone who predicted doomsday but didn't necessarily make a cult around it (or something along those lines)?

I'm trying to think of why the religion and cult questions were no, but the hint was still divine inspiration. And the Pass on the crime question seems important too.

I had several guesses along these lines (even before the most recent clue), but they were all born in even-numbered years, or their Wiki article title begins with an eliminated letter.
