Crazy Frog?
this would also explain the weirdness about dates, since crazy frog is from 2005 (so definitely after 2001) but Axel F was from 1984

Correct! And yeah, the confusion was the edit of the song was from 1997 but the animation was first made in 2003.
:D

missed chance to say 'ding ding' instead of correct

next round will be up soon

Tough one. Gorillaz animated members are the closest I’ve found (including uncertainty about the introduction date) but they’re all human, and London is mostly in the Western Hemisphere. Might be stuck without an additional nudge from QM.
I’m a big fan of Gorillaz, but it’s not a Gorillaz member. I’ll thrown in that the character is from a music video.

That's a very creative answer (even if it isn't quite right). Good work at digging it up.

I can give everyone a free guess as well, this wasn’t meant to be a particularly hard round.

No problem. We'll be lucky to get this one, I think.

Oh wait, my bad, I thought our free guesses wouldn't be expired if I asked the last question. Sorry everyone.

That's 20 questions! 5 remaining guesses among all players are allowed.

1,3,9. Fictional non-human
2. Not introduced in the western hemisphere
4. The creator of this character is known
5,7. Introduced after 4 March 1974 and before 3 July 2013
6,10,11,12,13,15,16,17,18. Introduced in a song, drama, or poem (but not introduced in a work meant to be read, or as a mascot, or on the radio, in a play, movie, TV show, podcast advertisement, video game or anime series)
8. The silhouette of this character is humanoid, when scaled to human size
14. Not an alien or robot
19. Not from a work mainly meant for children
20. Not female or implied to be female

Free information for y'all - Character was introduced 2001 or later, and is from a song

NOT:
Blue men from Eiffel 65's "I'm Blue (Da Ba Dee)"

The old iTunes ads always used silhouettes from the early 2000's. Probably reading into the specifics a bit much.

So I think we're probably looking for a humanoid (but not human) character in a song from 2001 or so.
what I find weird is that this character's silhouette is known, which would be strange if they were originally from a song. likely from a music video like Clove suggested

Is this a character from a work that is primarily meant for children to enjoy?
I would say no.

Gotta be the blue men from Eiffel 65's "Blue (Da Ba Dee)", right?
