imo it's for the best if not every pick is interesting; it can get overwhelming when there are too many spicy picks in a row, and having a more standard round can make the game more accessible to new players
I agree with this; part of the fun is not knowing how "spicy" of a pick the QM chose going into the game.

Also, endgames often fall into one of three buckets:
- It is hard to come up with people that fit all of the clues, but once you come up with the right answer, you feel pretty confident about it. (This was round 462, for example.)
- There is a relatively obvious choice that is apparent somewhat early on in the question-asking process; it then becomes a game of who wants to pull the trigger first and risk wasting the free guess. (Perhaps Ronald McDonald and Paddington Bear were in this bucket. J. Alfred Prufrock as well?)
- There are many, many possibilities that work; the challenge then is using context to figure out which one the QM chose. (I liked running round 163, when it took the players the vast majority of the 20 questions to deduce this was an NFL player. Of course, there are hundreds of NFL players - but I chose the one who was recently in the pop-culture news for round 407 reasons.)

All that to say: I think Atlas was a great pick; not boring.

Next round up soon.

I think Atlas is a great pick and he has crossed my mind a few times when choosing a person. Sorry for not checking the list before making my guess.

I guess I will get in on the free guess train and go for Atlas.
Sorry for the Super Bowl sized gap in my answers. Atlas is correct. The namesake of, well, atlases (and part of the title of Atlas Shrugged, and a number of other writings and sculptures). And the person holding the world on their shoulders.

I only realized after picking this entity (of whom I knew from a school assignment, many years ago) that perhaps this wasn’t a super interesting pick in the context of 20Q. However, I decided to be honorable (and boring) and stick with the pick. Given who won, I suspect we’ll have a spicier round next time!

(Prometheus was also a good guess, but has been an answer before in 20Q)

Does this individual's name (in Greek) begin with Α, Π, or Ω?
Keeping this question up, because I believe it will narrow things down regardless of the answer to Red Neurax's question.
Just to be clear, I don't want this question answered until after all the free guesses have been answered. If that specification is not allowed, consider this question scratched.

honestly, I kind of hope that none of these are correct, just for the silly factor :3

I will just try my luck with Epimetheus. Not likely, but not many guesses left.

Epimetheus?

Sorry I didn't see it because it wasn't included in the later list. Ignore my guess.

7. Not introduced in a work meant to be read, as far as the QM knows

Male?

If yes, Cronus.
If no, Mnemosyne.
Oh, scratch the question, didn't see it already asked. So, Cronus?
For the record, conditional guesses are not allowed.
