Fun facts: the Von Trapps opened a ski lodge in Stowe, Vermont. Johannes, Maria and Georg's youngest, is the only child still alive. The ski lodge/resort is still open.
... been there...

Free guess: Maria von Trapp
Maria von Trapp is correct! (It is probably more accurate to say she is primarily known for being the subject of The Sound of Music… but in that musical she is a singer, so I figured close enough).
Good round! Aristocrat has had some very nice QM picks recently.

I tried to find a nice meme of Julie Andrews with her arms spread wide, and ended up with this:

https://i.chzbgr.com/full/6188030464/h3E820E39/smp-classic-so-long-farewell-ackbardersehen-goodbye

I will get up a round later today. I think I'm going to go ahead and do a double round. (I did this once before. It's different than the usual multiball rules, where players guess the entities separately and whoever gets the highest score wins; here, the winner is the first player to guess both of the entities simultaneously.)

Principally known as a writer?
I shouldn't have said 'principally.'

Grrr!

Edith Piaf?
This was my free guess.
Welcome to the game! I had thought of Piaf, but she was born too late.

Was this person primarily know for being part of a suffrage movement or for being a vocalist?
Yes (taking some liberty with this answer, there may be another category that is a more accurate fit but I don’t think a yes here is terribly misleading)

Born within one of the playable classic Diplomacy countries (using actual borders at the time of birth) before 1909?
