A five-way multiball is now up! Hopefully that's small enough, but there is a time limit to prevent it from getting too boring just in case.

How would people feel about a multiball next round? I have a semi-interesting idea, and a multiball might be fun with the new players we've been getting.
I’d be down! My only qualm is the last couple multiballs went for a while and had a lot of targets. So maybe a smaller one.

I think we're at 19, so I'll throw in a free guess for Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar
Oh, I missed this. B.R. Ambedkar is correct! Architect of the Indian constitution and one of the most prominent anti-caste reformers.
Very good pick. Fun fact: I just learned that the grandfather of a guy I know was actually one of the members of the assembly that drafted the Indian constitution.

I’m in India right now and his face is on posters everywhere and I’ve always admired him so I thought he would be a good pick. Hopefully not too out of left field.
I hope you are getting some excellent food! I am very happy right now, as a new Indian food truck just opened up a block from my house last week. They have delicious idly and sambar.
Yup, a lot of great food options here. South Indian food is really underrated overseas, idli + sambar is delicious. Masala dosa is another good one.

Multiballs are fine but the summaries are a massive chore to do. Would be great if the QM takes that responsibility on for themselves if next round is a multi.

What’s a multiball?
A 20 questions game with multiple figures to guess, often with some sort of connection between them. The winner is whoever guesses the most individuals correctly, and if there is a tie it goes to whoever has the longest winning drought. See 356, 379, and 384 for recent examples.

:D

Great pick! I'm not too well versed in Indian history so this is a good chance for me to read up on it.

I’ll throw in a hint since this wasn’t the easiest round. This person is known for a variety of political things rather than one specific role, and this person is definitely known somewhat outside South Asia, but is very well known in his native country.

That is a very good guess. I will guess Sanjay Gandhi (as suggested by my wife).

Since he was elected, it must be post-decolonization. What moderately important officeholder from India or Bangladeshi would be well known enough outside of South Asia to be an answer here?

Okay, fair enough. So he IS from either India, Bangladesh, or Bhutan. Elected, but not the PM.

We need something to narrow this down.

It occurs to me there are plenty of countries in the British Commonwealth where the Prime Minister is not technically the head of state. So don’t rule out ex-British Empire nations’ prime ministers.
I said "head of state or head of government" for this reason.

We also don’t know for certain yet that he was South Asian. But we do know:

A: Elected to political office, either after WWII or in a different country than he was born in or both.
B: Not a head of state
C: Still reasonably well known.

The prime minister is generally the head of government of the country.
Not in a Presidential system though.
Are there presidential systems that have a prime minister though? Obviously there are semi-presidential systems like France, but in those countries, the PM is considered the head of government. It could be, for example, a House Speaker of Indonesia.

The same is true, for example, in Japan. It could be a former Prime Minister of Japan.
