Hatsune Miku
Hatsune Miku is correct! Since we’d been picking famous musicians I thought I would keep it going and pick a fictional-ish musician.

I almost incorrectly answered the “female human” question - apparently she is an android.
Great pick! Normally this is not my wheelhouse at all, but Hatsune Miku is part of my consciousness, largely because of a connection to the subject of Game 21.

Next thread will be up soon.
Lmao - I scrolled up to see who the subject of game 21 was expecting an anime character or maybe the creator of Minecraft or something, but nope: Thomas Jefferson Miku Binder

Does this character usually take the form of a non-primate mammal?

If yes: Morgana (from Persona 5).

Quoting this so that it shows up at the top of the new page, with a small addendum.

First introduced in a song or as part of a game?

(Regardless of whether they also count as a mascot, advertising, or a toy--for example, a character first mentioned in a song created for an advertisement would still be a "yes".)
Pass.
