21 Jul 12 UTC Autumn, 2004: [Russia]:hey guys, i am busy for the next two weeks starting Sunday, can we pause the game please.
thanks
31 Jul 12 UTC Spring, 2005: [Russia]:Oh, I should have read the messages first. Now I feel bad. :/

In any case, I have taken over and looking forward to playing the game; I plan on generally trying to abide by agreements made by my predecessor wherever possible and beneficial. :)
14 Aug 12 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Europe]:Dear Tzar #2,

I find it interesting that you mention that you plan to abide by Tzar #1's deals, when it's clear you are not. This would mean that you are either a.) illiterate (i.e., you can't read), or b.) you cannot be trusted. Which is it?

Let this be a simple warning to other players.

15 Aug 12 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Pacific-Russia]:One of the knives in my back is Russian.
16 Aug 12 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Russia]:Yeah I'm sorry guys. I had initially entered generally aggressive orders in all directions, talked with you guys and decided to pursue peace, but then totally forgot to change them.

I would say that it wasn't opportunistic, insofar as my lack of gains go.

Honestly I found it hard to get into the game, I guess a combination of the super long phases, lack of general responses (except from you of course) and the massive map kind of make it a bit impersonal feeling.

I'm sorry about it; it's not fair to you or anyone else. I will try to focus a bit more on playing the game less like a gunboat and more like a game of legitimate Diplomacy.
23 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 2007: [Russia]:Brazil, West Canada, Oz super alliance.

I declare my intention to fight it.

If that causes my doom, so be it.
23 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 2007: [Oz]:Haha, wrong. Well maybe the Canada, Brazil part is right but I'm not part of it
23 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 2007: [Europe]:How about an alliance between Brazil, Western Canada, Europe, Russia, Oz, Pacific Russia, Ghana and Libya? It seems that India has left, as many other presidents have left over the past few years, too.

Western Canada and I have already selected "Draws" below, and I see some presidents have "Pause" there, too.

Just a thought...

23 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 2007: [Russia]:I'd be interested.

I guess that Oz by them-self are already as scary as a super alliance. ;)
23 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 2007: [Oz]:It's cause we got Kangaroos and Platypuses. Koalas don't do much though
23 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 2007: [Western-Canada]:Steve irwin's ghost is mighty fierce though haha
23 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 2007: [Oz]:Ahem to that
24 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 2007: [Europe]:Hello, all!

In real life, I live in NYC, but for the next 10 days, I'll be visiting some of my European countries. As such, I will only have intermittent access to respond or send emails and make moves.

Take care!

24 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 2007: [Russia]:That's amazing! Have fun!
12 Sep 12 UTC [Russia]:It's a draw!
