30 Mar 12 UTC | Spring, 1: Hello everyone |
30 Mar 12 UTC | Spring, 1: greetings |
30 Mar 12 UTC | Spring, 1: hi there |
31 Mar 12 UTC | Autumn, 1: Hello Carthage, how are you doing? |
31 Mar 12 UTC | Autumn, 1: I'm quite great, how are you yourself ? |
05 Apr 12 UTC | Autumn, 3: Egypt has undergone a revolution and is now under new management. Come time to diplomatically discuss future moves, know that there is a new man in charge. |

16 Apr 12 UTC | Autumn, 6: It's going to be a slow slog, but we will prevail. We've got the numbers and position to do it. We'e got to wait out a day of Persia retreats and then a build which could go faster I think Persia's disbands will go when he doesn't retreat them. Anyway, we're at a position now wherre we need to cordinate a few moves in the Med. I'll have to support Libyan, I think so I can get to Syrtis, so I can't support you yet, but you can bring troops down from the north now. I can too,, but it's more a matter of Position than troops for me right now. Don't worry though I'll move VEN and VIND south into Italy so as not to threaten you. They just aren't much use right now. Basically Persia and Numidia are there and have to be moved, but as far as offense we've got Egypt heavily out numbered. I can even push in Africa now, but it will be slow at first. I just have to get the right Egyptian domino to fall. We'll talk later. Anyway, we'll talk later. |
16 Apr 12 UTC | Autumn, 6: Thank you for the heads up |
16 Apr 12 UTC | Autumn, 6: Well oops. What do you think? |
16 Apr 12 UTC | Autumn, 6: lol . I don't think I gave away any secrets. You are going to be hard to crack, but the numbers are against you. I did sayit would help to have Syrtis. That's a real shock I know. I mis-wrote orders in another game. It just shows, don't do stuff when you're tired |
16 Apr 12 UTC | Autumn, 6: Well Ur right about being tired and all. It will be a slow fight, but I'd suppose we could come to a different conclusion can't we? While I slow you down Greece could very well grow quite strong. Unless he's playing kingmaker, is your last six coming from me or me and him? |
16 Apr 12 UTC | Autumn, 6: I have nothing against you personally but I'm not planning on fighting Greece. I made that pledge to him before you got in the game and I'm one of those players who enjoys the game more when I stick to my word. That's more important than points to me. It is just a game and no store I know accepts Diplomacy points in lieu of money. I wish the IRS did, but I asked and they don't. ;-) So I paid them and e-filed my extension today. I hate tax day more than any other. Since I'm self-employed I always owe them money, if nothing more than my first quarter estimated payment. Your people will like living under Roman rule though. Though peoplalways complain about taxes, Roman taxes never approached modern levels. Of course, they were pretty hard on you if you didn't pay. As far as I know, the IRS hasn't gotten around to feeding people who they didn't think paid enough to the lions...at least yet. |
17 Apr 12 UTC | Autumn, 6: Eh I feel ya with regards I taxes. And I'm with ya too with trying to stick to my word as well, much more gratifying that way, however it's always someone else who tries to backstab me first, never willing to try. Since it is obvious that I will lose the long run, why don't we save ourselves the time and I'll acknowledge your victory. A game well played even though I came for only half of it. |

17 Apr 12 UTC | Spring, 7: You, sir, are a gentleman. May our paths cross again when we have a fresh start without prior commitments. |
17 Apr 12 UTC | Spring, 7: Admittedly I don't see a capitulation button. What am I suppose to do? |
17 Apr 12 UTC | Spring, 7: Or should I withdraw from the game? I don't know what to do. |
17 Apr 12 UTC | Spring, 7: Greece told me there isn't anyway to surrender with this software yet, you just have to stay inactive for 3 turns or something. That's a definite upgrade need in their software. It wastes a lot of everyone's time. Just walking away is the best you can do, I'm afraid. The remaining players have to suffer the waits. |
17 Apr 12 UTC | Spring, 7: Well I hate to leave, but I'd there is no other way... I'll catch you in another game then. GG |
