Autumn, 2000: [Europe]:I think you should be penalized for placing your orders last, especially in these big games. ;) |

Autumn, 2001: [Europe]:I don't understand the alliances in this game. How is the Western Hemisphere all best friends? |

Autumn, 2001: [Europe]:And Africa. |

Autumn, 2001: [Europe]:I also find it very curious that Augustus Caesar, JJTT007 and imarion05 all play in the same games... |

Autumn, 2001: [Europe]:Oh, and Scotty Baker. |

Autumn, 2001: [Kenya]:Africa doesn't seem to be a peaceful place in the least. |

Autumn, 2001: [Kenya]:But yeah, the Americas are playing a simpletons game. |

Autumn, 2001: [USA]:Western Canada and Quebec are playing the game of offering alliances they have no intention of keeping, so the rest of you would be well advised to view offers to cooperate with a great deal if skepticism. |

Autumn, 2001: [Europe]:To be more to the point, I suspect cheating, and if not, then at least some gaming that is completely against the spirit of the game. |

Autumn, 2001: [Europe]:I guess I meant Libya and Ghana when I pointed out Africa. |
15 Mar 12 UTC |
Autumn, 2001: [Near-East]:I dont think theyre cheating. i would more suspicious is it ended in a 4 way draw with just them but usually a western canada-quebec alliance works very well |

Autumn, 2001: [Brazil]:In all honesty... I know a couple of the guys playing this game personally. We love Diplomacy, but now live in different cities. This online forum is a great way to keep playing and I truly enjoy the competition. There was no way we could predict the geographic distribution and everyone's on their own to talk via this forum. There are no rules against joining a game with people you know and I think it is naive to believe that no one does just that. Maybe I'm typing myself into a grave, but I've had to strike deals and talk just like everyone else, as is the "true spirit of this game." |

Autumn, 2001: [Europe]:I just find it curious how you and your friends tend to destroy the competition in all your other games together and then decide its best to draw. Especially when your good buddy, Scotty Baker, has 17 units to your 10 and decides to draw with you. Or the game before that where you Baker, JJTT007 and imarion05 all decided to share a draw. Very curious indeed. |

Autumn, 2001: [Pacific-Russia]:You can certainly join games with people you know in real life, the problem arises when you join games with those people with the expressed intent to never fight each other and help each other take territories until you feel satisfied with your gains and end the game with a draw. It takes away from the game for others, because you now have an unfair advantage over them, and it takes away from the game for you, because by having an unshakeable alliance at your back you are only playing half the game. You sir, and your co-conspirators, are cowards. I challenge you to stand up and play this game like men. |

Autumn, 2001: [Europe]:That, and how you leave your territories completely open, with all your units dedicated across the continent, and MrYooniverse decides against the easy SC pickups and attacks S. Africa instead. I'm just going to start referring to the western hemisphere as the "Best Friends Forever Club Team". |
