16 Oct 23 UTC Just out of curiosity, did you lose track of the situation Sam & Chitarn?

Once Diadeia retreated from my attack - indicating he was about to throw the game unless you made peace immediately - it took another 2 years until you guys turned my way. And by then it was too late.
16 Oct 23 UTC I didn't loose track, but Persias actions from build year 5, onwards, made it clear. I could let him or you win...
17 Oct 23 UTC Wasn’t my best effort, good game dagabs

17 Oct 23 UTC No worries, probably wouldn't have mattered anyway, after Rome collapsed faster than we expected. Thx Sam
17 Oct 23 UTC Greece played great, Carthage played great, I think I played great. But I gave Persia three chances not to lose this game. I Let them take Cyprus, I even let them take Jerusalem, but the second they walked into Nabatea, Carthage won the game. Why on earth would I allow the game to draw if I know I'm not going to be in it. I have no reason to allow it. I don't care If you take four or five of my centers Persia, If Carthage breaks me you lose. I was pivotal to the draw and you tried to get me out.
17 Oct 23 UTC Also taking Sinope was awful as well. Proved you didn't learn your lesson from attacking me. Only did you stop short of Chersonesus, after already forcing Greece to pull his units back to make sure you would get the message. Maybe I wasn't obviously needed in the draw until you factor in I would throw if not included, but Greece was obviously needed and you still took Sinope.
17 Oct 23 UTC Also Rome, why are you attacking Greece he literally gave you Dalmatia, and I was even antagonizing Carthage. I get it that the country Rome sucks in gunboat but why not defend against Carthage when the country of Carthage is so great in gunboat.
17 Oct 23 UTC Every single game of Med gunboat is most likely to end in a threeway between Greece, Carthage and Egypt unless if someone messes up. Map is too fleet heavy so everyone builds fleets. Countries that have an easy time sending fleets at eachother fight and the ones who don't, don't fight. So usually Greece and Egypt kill Persia. Rome and Carthage fight eachoghter so Greece and Egypt just win their wars easily. And then Rome dies because it has worse geography than Carthage.
17 Oct 23 UTC If you are better off nmring than doing the moves you did for essentially half the game then it means you really messed up.
17 Oct 23 UTC I thought Carthage was going to win this game since 03. And I knew they would win since 05
17 Oct 23 UTC Took everyone else much longer to see that though.
17 Oct 23 UTC Then, you should have fought Persia longer, if you knew, before turning west...
17 Oct 23 UTC That doesn't make any sense. Why would I keep attacking Persia when Carthage is the solo threat. That's like saying Rome should of went after you because he would of got Sparta. Yeah, they did get Sparta but also Carthage took all their centers in the meanwhile.
17 Oct 23 UTC It make sense in the way, that Persia clearly thought, he had time to eat you before Carthage would win. You turned to early...

17 Oct 23 UTC That was clearly my plan
18 Oct 23 UTC I don't think Persia thought he had time to take all of my centers before Carthage won. How would Persia be arriving in Memphis before Carthage? There is simply no way. And that doesn't explain why they took Sinope, obviously they couldn't eat you in time. And they had no chance of soloing ever throughout the game. I believe they took the centers because they weren't thinking and just thought "see dot take dot" or they didn't like that we attacked them before and wanted revenge.
18 Oct 23 UTC I don't understand how turning around when someone becomes a solo threat is bad. Just because they don't see it doesn't mean they aren't. If I hadn't turned back then the line wouldn't of held. I have to be in Leptis, Phazania and Syrtis while having a unit to cover Bayuda to form a line without guesswork and I'm not going to get that if I don't turn early.
18 Oct 23 UTC Or they didn't play for a draw.
