05 Jan 12 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Russia]:Sorry all for my absense. I also will be playing much less these days, if none of you saw my post in the forums. My father-in-law had his third heart attack in 3 months and we rented out our home to stay closer with him in France. He lives in the country, so we do not have fast internet. I play these days when I am travelling for work, so probably expect to see me on less/ more distracted.
06 Jan 12 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Western-Canada]:sorry for missing a move as well, i just moved and dont have internet set up yet but it should be up within the next week so i should be able to make moves
06 Jan 12 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Ghana]:Welcome back, though personally I was ok with the last turn. If only Argentina was submitting his moves late too, alas . . .

:)
11 Jan 12 UTC Spring, 2013: [India]:well ... now i pleed for a draw :)
11 Jan 12 UTC Spring, 2013: [Ghana]:2 of my early allies disappeared, otherwise this game would have ended (for you) long ago. Sometimes life just isn't very good, but WCanada promised to return. ;(
11 Jan 12 UTC Spring, 2013: [India]:well that's very difficult to say if the game would have ended for me ... of course it's true NE disappeared, but it wasn't that much of a game changer, was it?

anyway: all i'm saying is i pleed for a draw now with wcanada and pacruss gone ... – it's up to the remaining players to accept it or go on playing (i'll do so too if that's the decision as long as there is some chance).
11 Jan 12 UTC Spring, 2013: [Ghana]:USA disappeared right when I was going to land troops in NAmerica. Before WCanada had gotten into the Atlantic. I would have taken 2 sc's from WCanada that turn, and the Battle for the Atlantic would have ended before it started. Thus (w/o WCanada) Argentina would have swarmed you from the East and PacRussia would be fighting for his life from me, not helping you. But USA never submitted the support order, never returned, and . . .
11 Jan 12 UTC Spring, 2013: [India]:yes, that's speculation.
a player growing big might make the others change alliances to prevent a win.
11 Jan 12 UTC Spring, 2013: [India]:but it's true, it might have been that way.
11 Jan 12 UTC Spring, 2013: [Ghana]:It is true, but that said, I agree about changing alliances. It becomes speculation at a point, yes?
11 Jan 12 UTC Spring, 2013: [Ghana]:It is true, but that said, I agree about changing alliances. It becomes speculation at a point, yes?

11 Jan 12 UTC Spring, 2013: [Ghana]:Oops!

When you look up WCanada, he is very experienced and doesn't leave/resign games. I really expect him to return.
11 Jan 12 UTC Spring, 2013: [India]:hope so too. also i hope for pacruss coming back. hope he's not lost in the jungle ;-)
12 Jan 12 UTC Spring, 2013: [South-Africa]:lol I have been gone from this sight for over a month and this game is still going on.
Down with Ghana!
12 Jan 12 UTC Spring, 2013: [Ghana]:And to think, I've left him SSu this whole time. :)
12 Jan 12 UTC Spring, 2013: [South-Africa]:that was so long ago I dont even remember being there
12 Jan 12 UTC Spring, 2013: [South-Africa]:all vs. Ghana! stopGhana at all costs!
12 Jan 12 UTC Spring, 2013: [South-Africa]:lol my draw order is still in effect
13 Jan 12 UTC Autumn, 2013: [Kenya]:If Ghana gets Union this turn, he'll have SCs on every continent except Australia.
13 Jan 12 UTC Autumn, 2013: [Ghana]:Do I win if I get Sidney?
14 Jan 12 UTC Autumn, 2013: [Pacific-Russia]:that s real globalization
16 Jan 12 UTC Autumn, 2013: [Western-Canada]:ok so after hours on the phone they i finally have internet sorry about missing all of those turns but i won't be missing any others
16 Jan 12 UTC Autumn, 2013: [Ghana]:Figured we'd see you again. Welcome back, and (somewhat) sorry to take advantage.

Would you be willing to take one more turn off? ;)
25 Jan 12 UTC Autumn, 2014: [Western-Canada]:unfortunately yes
25 Jan 12 UTC Autumn, 2014: [Ghana]:Hard when you've played so well, for so long, and things like this happen. You deserve better.
02 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 2015: GameMaster: justamaria was banned: multi. The time until the next phase has been extended by one phase length to give an opportunity to replace the player.
Remember to finalize your orders if you don't want to wait, so the game isn't held up unnecessarily!
02 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 2015: [India]:o.O now *that's* white a changer ...
02 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 2015: [India]:(so much of a surprise, i even don't know anymore how to write "quite")
02 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 2015: [Ghana]:Wow, in one world game I was in he was three (3) different players. And he still lost!
02 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 2015: [India]:what surprises me is that he was a very engaged ally ... if he wasn't, i'd have changed sides long ago.
02 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 2015: [Ghana]:Asked you to many times my almost friend.
02 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 2015: [Ghana]:To all- This game has been greatly compromised, first by Russia, then by multiple missed turns, now by Pac-Russia. I would make this proposal- A 4-way draw. India deserves better than a defeat. He has fought honest and well. Western Canada still dies however.
Thoughts?
02 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 2015: [Ghana]:{FYI- in the game Justamaria played 3 sides in, I won in a solo. lol!}
03 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 2015: [India]:well, i can't deny that i'd like this solution ... not because i urgently want to survive, but also because the game is flawed - which is a pity after such a long time ...
01 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 2019: [India]:so hit the draw button please :)
it gives me a draw record in my statistics, and for you it would be almost the same result – you won't gain much more points if you take me out of the game.
01 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 2019: [Ghana]:India- I don't play for points, I do play for allies. My allies have made their decisions, and I am (very clearly) loyal. I wish you had taken those offers I had made so long, long ago. You are loyal too, and you play well. If it helps, I hold you in high respect.
02 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 2020: [India]:so my error was to be loyal too, but chose the wrong ally and didn't switch (then he turned out to be a multi etc. etc.)
anyway, i bear no grudge – it was a last attempt to survive this game, but as your allies don't wish that to happen, i'm doomed.
02 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 2020: [Ghana]:I would try every trick too. Mark of a good player.

But he was a BAD multi. Wonder how he got figured out . . . .
03 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 2020: [Kenya]:We can draw if that's what everyone wants.
03 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 2020: [Ghana]:I would draw a 4-way now or a 3-way later. Personally I like the alliance winning, but I also recognize that India was honest and a good player. I also respect that he continues to fight when almost all other players seem to quit (a pet peave!).

So my vote would be a 4-way. Argentina?
04 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 2020: [Kenya]:I could go either way.
04 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 2020: [Europe]:Congrats Ghana
04 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 2020: [Ghana]:Thank you Europe, but it was a team game. :)
04 Mar 12 UTC [Europe]:So you really want to draw, one SC before you win solo?
04 Mar 12 UTC [Argentina]:About the draw, India has been a noble foe, so as much as I would love to see a three way if everyone else thinks he deserves a piece of the pie than so be it I would agree.
04 Mar 12 UTC [Ghana]:Draw order is in.

Europe- my joy is the intellectual and teamwork part of this game. I normally take solos as a defeat- they mean I was unable to forge a good team.

Teammates- you were loyal and I greatly, greatly enjoyed spending the last half year with you (incredible, yes?).

India- great foe. You deserved better. Perhaps we can meet again, under better circumstances?
05 Mar 12 UTC [India]:thanks for the result - it was a great game. i had a good alliance with PR (i remember plotting moves on christmas eve with him ...) and i was most surprised that he was banned. also i remember russia being part of the alliance, who's father in law got seriously ill, so he had to quit the game. so after all, i'm glad i survived - or survive thanks to your mercy :)

see you in another game. i'm playing on this server and on vdiplomacy.net (for the more exotic variants).
05 Mar 12 UTC [Ghana]:This and vdiplomacy.com (also exotic variants)
06 Mar 12 UTC [Kenya]:Aren't vdiplomacy.com and vdiplomacy.net the same thing? My account seems to exist on both of them.

Anyways, I would like to thank Ghana and Argentina for being completely faithful allies, and India for being a challenging enemy. This was one of the best games I've participated in for a while, and I've learned a lot about this variant and Diplomacy in general. And now, I shall press the draw button....
