20 Oct 08 UTC | Spring, 1901: Welcome all. The name of the game is Retreats Disband, so when your unit should be dislodged, in the Retreats phase choose "Disband" unit. You will get a chance to rebuild units if you have the SC to do so each Autumn. Anyone NOT disbanding units is fair game and other countries should stop fighting and destroy the cheater. I look forward to a good, clean game of vile, dirty backstabbing. Game On! |
20 Oct 08 UTC | Spring, 1901: GameMaster: trusty simon has taken over Italy. |
20 Oct 08 UTC | Spring, 1901: Welcome Trusty Simon |
20 Oct 08 UTC | Spring, 1901: buongiorno tutti ! |
20 Oct 08 UTC | Spring, 1901: Refreshing to get Austria again after so long! |
20 Oct 08 UTC | Spring, 1901: Englands always a pain |
20 Oct 08 UTC | Spring, 1901: England is tough to play.. ive only seen it win once but when it did win.. MAN did it win lol |
20 Oct 08 UTC | Spring, 1901: England is one of those countries that when it's winning doesn't APPEAR to be winning. Maybe because it's so spread apart in France, Germany and Russia while winning |
20 Oct 08 UTC | Spring, 1901: England and Turkey ('The Wicked Witches') are sometimes hard to get going offensively, but are pretty strong defensively. |
20 Oct 08 UTC | Spring, 1901: "The Wicked Witches"? |
21 Oct 08 UTC | Spring, 1901: Haha. I love the Turks; they're so easy to start and defend. This way, you can make sure that you don't get crushed early on. It's one of the best, geographically speaking, for defense. |
21 Oct 08 UTC | Autumn, 1901: Yes, they are sometimes called the Wicked Witches, as in Wicked Witch of the East and Wicked Witch of the West, lol |
21 Oct 08 UTC | Autumn, 1901: France is also no shirk for defense. Switzerland is France's best friend |
21 Oct 08 UTC | Autumn, 1901: yea France has a natural defensive wall |
21 Oct 08 UTC | Autumn, 1901: Turkey and France are probably the easiest for me, depending on the coalitions formed of course... |
21 Oct 08 UTC | Autumn, 1901: No two games are ever the same, of course, but Turkey and France are always the easiest.. its just the way the map is constructed. England is hard to eliminate but exceedingly difficult to get a strong, stable foothold on the mainland. Germany and Austria are the most hardest to pick up as a beginner but, according to the experts, are in the best position to win the game. Italy, like England, has to manage to get a foothold outside its usual 4 territories but once it does, can be hard to stop. As for Russia.. well.. I've never been Russia before lol.. from what i can tell Russia is the most versatile of the 7 nations, incorporating a little of every other. |
21 Oct 08 UTC | Autumn, 1901: Russia is a great country, I've frequently done well with Russia, and it's my only win. Austria and Italy are considered among the toughest to succeed with, and I'd personally add Germany, my playing of Germany has so far been disastrous. |
21 Oct 08 UTC | Autumn, 1901: @France - ooh, bad time to miss a turn. You can recover though |
21 Oct 08 UTC | Autumn, 1901: Sorry about that. Looks like I'm in last place. Don't kill me right now; I only want to survive this game, rather than invade and conquer. |
21 Oct 08 UTC | Autumn, 1901: lol |
