16 Nov 08 UTC Spring, 1913: I managed to stab with the combination of London to Picardy and St.Petersburg to Belgium.
16 Nov 08 UTC Spring, 1913: Impressive
16 Nov 08 UTC Spring, 1913: *waits for French finalization*
17 Nov 08 UTC Autumn, 1913: *The evoy from the Ottoman Empire kindly invites our beloved neighbour the Emperor of France to finalise his orders once his diplomatic efforts have been completed*
18 Nov 08 UTC Autumn, 1913: Thanks! :)
19 Nov 08 UTC Autumn, 1913: I think we might have lost France...

I would take this occasion to present a request for a short pause to the game during this weekend. I will be away from Friday morning (GMT+1) to Monday early afternoon. While I would probably be able to access the internet somehow, I'd much rather put the game on pause for these few days of holiday. Would this be acceptable for the other remaining players?
19 Nov 08 UTC Autumn, 1913: I don't think we'll loose him though will we? Having said that, he has my msn, and I haven't seen him on for quite some time, so maybe.
I don't mind, although if it can be avoided I'd rather that. What are the exact details on your possible next access: would it be practical for retreats & builds even if not moves?

19 Nov 08 UTC Autumn, 1913: Well, I will be stayin at a friend's place in another country, and we will be moving around quite a lot, so it would not really be very practical to try and access phpdiplomacy from there. I was expecting all my games to be over by the time I go there, which is why I have not started any new game in the last month or so, but this one has been going on longer than I thought. If it's not a problem for you, pausing would really be the best solution from my point of view.
19 Nov 08 UTC Spring, 1914: Fair enough, I'll vote for a pause soon. Please would you vote for no pause Turkey and pause it when you actually go away, because otherwise it won't run from now until then either!

19 Nov 08 UTC Spring, 1914: Oh blast, it won't run at all now i've paused it. Are we just going to leave it like this until monday then?
Also, do we know what happens *if* we all finalize, because if that works we can leave it paused and use that to run a phase or two this week.
19 Nov 08 UTC Spring, 1914: /unpause

19 Nov 08 UTC Spring, 1914: (for whenever you're ready)
19 Nov 08 UTC Spring, 1914: To be honest I am not sure... it's the first time I am in a paused game.
19 Nov 08 UTC Spring, 1914: Well, I'm set to unpause when ready, and when I'm 100% certain I'll finalize my moves, and we'll see what happens in a bit!
Have a nice time around Europe - where do you live?
19 Nov 08 UTC Spring, 1914: I'm Italian, but I live in Belgium. And I am now going to Scotland for the weekend :)
19 Nov 08 UTC Spring, 1914: (or Africa I guess, I shouldn't jump to conclusions)
20 Nov 08 UTC Spring, 1914: Since we're all ready to run at least this phase, can we unpause, run this one, then repause for the weekend? Sorry to rush us, but I'd like to get my games finished for the 'festive period' if at all possible

21 Nov 08 UTC Autumn, 1914: Now we wait for Turkey to return. I hope he has a good weekend after all this!
22 Nov 08 UTC Autumn, 1914: Well if he has a to good of a weekend paybe he will not play to well.
24 Nov 08 UTC Autumn, 1914: Argh, thanks to my ramblings we've lost the post where Turkey said when he'd be back :(
24 Nov 08 UTC Autumn, 1914: Hello everyone... sorry for being late, there were problems with snow and my plane had to land in another airport. It's been a bit of a nightmare... I'm back now, however! :)
24 Nov 08 UTC Autumn, 1914: Don't worry, nice to have you back. Now, put us out of our misery and lets see this phase run!

24 Nov 08 UTC Autumn, 1914: Ok, game is unpaused. I'll try and finalise quickly enough
26 Nov 08 UTC Spring, 1915: Well done. I was not expecting this, I have to say. Well, congratulations to England, I guess!
27 Nov 08 UTC Spring, 1915: What were you expecting?
Thanks all for the game, hope to play again soon.
(I know its not over yet, but I'm pretty sure I can hold my position for the next turn)
27 Nov 08 UTC Spring, 1915: I was expecting Russia to move differently, but now that I see them, his actual moves were the most rational ones, and I should have foreseen them. Well, my mistake in this last couple of turns... Thanks to everyone, it's been a great game!
27 Nov 08 UTC Spring, 1915: Ah right, I guess you expected him to attack me.
Yes, thanks everyone for a good game, it's had more than its fair share of twists and turns. Hope to meet you all again soon!
28 Nov 08 UTC Good game and quite fun to see the finale
28 Nov 08 UTC No, I was expecting him to try to keep all his SCs as log as possible, while I guess the most rational thing to do was to let you take the two you needed this turn, and ensure that he would survive.
