23 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: I need to slow down the game this weekend. Tomorrow is Easter and I will be visiting family. I saved my moves, but I will not finalize them. I don't want to miss a turn in this exciting game.
23 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: Have a loely time.
23 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: lovely that was.
24 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: Happy Easter everyone! (Or, Happy Sunday!! Its the start of a new week!! ..for those that don't celebrate)
24 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: Good bye, Russia. Better luck in your other games.
24 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: lol what france did to save marseilles is how i saved london from him.
24 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: Well, you both impressed me.
26 Apr 11 UTC Spring, 1904: That was fun for some of us.
29 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: That was more fun.
29 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: Does anyone mind if we pause, i'll be gone saturday/sunday... I wasn't expecting that..
29 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: I don't pause. Delay finalizing, but I find it hard to believe youcan't find internet somewhere in a 24 hour period. Problem with pauses is that people fail to come back. What was the unexpected nature of the need?
30 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: Yeah... its called a train. One that doesn't have internet. I'm traveling half way across the country, because a relative is in the hospital.
30 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: 24 hours on a train. No internet when you get there/ No starbucks/ No McDonalds? It's called a train but you aren't going to be on it for the whole time or why go. Laptops work in Hospitals.
30 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: Or, you know, you could try not being a dick. That works on the internet.
30 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: I'm not being a dick. I don't pause. I've gone on vacations and had my father die. Didn't pause. Internet everwhere. The dick is expecting to be granted a pause. It's OK to ask, but it's something granted, not taken for granted. I don't pause.
30 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: Don't pause, not a dick. Got it.
30 Apr 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: On the other hand, being a prick seems to be a French quality.
30 Apr 11 UTC Spring, 1906: A French quality? Ha! You don't know your history do you? And no, I will not have access to Internet for 24hours minimum. Trains from Mass-Chicago take around 20hrs + delays, which happen every time i've traveled. Most Amtrak has internet, but lucky for me, Lakeshore Limited, does not. And yes, hospitals do have internet, but despite an internet game not being first on my mind, I will miss a turn.
As for your comment on people not coming back, I have never resigned from a game.
And thanks France, I appreciate the support.
30 Apr 11 UTC Spring, 1906: Italy, I recommend you relax your "no pause" policy for this weekend. I understand why you might have that policy, but we all need to be flexible and accommodating sometimes. On Monday, we will resume the game.
30 Apr 11 UTC Spring, 1906: What time monday?
30 Apr 11 UTC Spring, 1906: Thanks.
Turkey, let us all know when you are back so we can restart ASAP.
02 May 11 UTC Spring, 1906: Thanks everyone
02 May 11 UTC Spring, 1906: so we all have to unpause.
02 May 11 UTC Spring, 1906: By the way Turkey, I didn't say you had ever left, I said people leave. I hope everything worked out.
05 May 11 UTC Spring, 1907: Wow... where did you guys go? Hope you don't all go away from this game.
05 May 11 UTC Spring, 1907: Damn!!!!
09 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: Goodbye Turkey, good luck in your other games.
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: Nice job, Turkey. See ya in some other games.
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: Good game man
12 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: Good game, central powers
12 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: The Central Powers most often get squashed. This is a refreshing change.
Good game France. See ya around the site.
18 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1911: When did Germany become Kenny on an episode of South Park?
18 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1911: Germany, ... it is no fun playing without you trying.
18 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1911: Sorry guys. It was clear that my end is near. And putting up a fight woul only prolong this ....... Appologies
18 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1911: Understood.
18 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1911: you could finalize so the game moves along.
27 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1914: In this game I had difficulty fighting because of so many countries who were friendly and trustworthy. I am sorry for all the good people who I turned my back on. Turkey was helpful in routing Russia. Germany was a good ally for attacking a powerful Turkey. England was instrumental in taming Germany. Sorry guys. In another game I would love to negotiate plans and alliances with all of you. I think Italy won out as the ally-of-choice because he was the most talkative.
I hope to meet all of you in other games in the near future.
27 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1914: So you're saying that it's because I have a purdy mouth? Are those banjos I hear.
I do thank everyone for a lovely game. I thank Austria the most because he/she played the way I would have liked to. Soon, we'll know who we all are. I started playing this game by mail 40 years ago. The reason I loved it then and now is the strange chance that players will recognized selfless collaboration is better than shortsighted selfishness as it is necessary for the game and, more importantly, the way once actually is successful. Austria won my heart because he/she plays that way.
27 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1914: I would love to play with any of you again.
27 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1914: England, it would be nice if you finalized since the end will be the same, and it is nice to speed it along.
28 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1914: Nice game everyone.
28 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1914: Italy, you are just one strange dude. Let me think again about why I chose to work with you. LOL. This website sure has a long list of colourful characters.
28 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1914: So long as I don't have a nasty reputation as a cruel dude. I am quite clear why I chose you.
29 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1914: Time to draw! Good game all, but especially great game to Austria.
29 May 11 UTC Aus, i didn't realized I was the only once with builds. Anyway, my draw vote is in. Great game, and thank you much. See you again soon.
29 May 11 UTC Austria will attack Kiel and win this :D
29 May 11 UTC could have won long ago and could have won last move by taking keil with any of 3 units. 17-17 is the hardest result I know and the most rewarding in my experience.
29 May 11 UTC Thanks all. Fun game.
29 May 11 UTC Great game Major! Thank you much. DK, I've seen you before, but don't know the game or result. don't know I've seen anyone else before. But great game all!
30 May 11 UTC good game all, sorry i missed the last few moves but i had to go camping in the middle of no where for a week and didn't think i had very long left.
