25 Feb 11 UTC | Spring, 1: Welcome all to this game of The Ancient Mediterranean. Just wanted to say good luck to everyone and thanks to whoever started this game. I was about to create a game when i saw this one. |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 6: hi boys, i leave and my units will go in civil disorders. in my opinion u r very bad players of diplomacy: 1) u make few diplomacy 2) u make strange moves : 2 fleet bounced in sicilia , no attacks to sar and 4 carthage fleet can't move for a ridiculous attack to crete, and a lot of roman units hold every round( ps:Leptis supports hold in cyrene????) . I FORGET TO GIVE ORDERS AND I DIDN'T LOSE ANY CENTER. I have more centers than u, (for now, yes carthage is growing but only because egyptian player already left), but u and this game are too sad. bye bye |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 6: Not really sure about my diplomacy skills but by the looks of it at least i can spell and use proper grammar. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and guess that your first language isnt English. However i have some points to refute since you seem so eager to bash our play styles. 1) I have no real reason to talk to you. Rome has been a really good ally throughout this game. He is reasonable and level headed. 2) A. The fleet bounce was to prevent me from trying to take Sicilia had i tried. B. Why would my ally attack Sar? C. My fleet moving to Crete was to cut your support that you might be giving from there. D. I have no idea why Sarmatia didn't advance to Chersonesus. E. I couldn't move Leptis anywhere that would benefit me and just felt like having him support a hold for no reason. You are right about not losing any centers but why would i play rashly when i have no idea what moves you will play the next turn. Although we have the upper hand there is always something that might go wrong. Such as some unforeseen retreat option that you might be given or some attack that countered the moves i input for the phase. The Egyptian player leaving is frustrating to say the least. I have always hated people dropping out of games when they are losing or going to lose. It's bad sportsmanship and it leaves other players high and dry in positions that they dont deserve to be left in just because they stick it out to the end. All said and done I think its safe to say that you not understanding how this game works makes you the lesser player and not Rome and I. If you want to complain about something how about you complain to your inability to effectively sway either one of us to attack the other. |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 6: And for the record, I hardly consider this Diplomacy from you Persia.... Fri 25 Feb Me: Spring, 1: Although i fear that our units may never work together or against one another i just wanted to wish you a good game. ~Thu 3 Mar Persia: Spring, 4: your plans? a fleet in rome....operation "carthago delenda est" begun? Thu 3 Mar Me: Spring, 4: ...are you asking what my concerns are about his build or did you send this to the wrong person? ~Fri 4 Mar Persia: Spring, 4: the first one ~Fri 4 Mar Me: Spring, 4: Going to play this next turn safe. I didnt like his last build either so im not sure what he has in mind. He has yet to build a unit in Rav which means he is uncomfortable with having me as an ally. ~Fri 4 Mar Persia: Spring, 4: :) say bye bye to baleares and/or sar. it's so clear.... ~Fri 4 Mar Me: Spring, 4: Not necessarily By the looks of it, thats just you threatening me. |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 6: I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and guess that your have never played before to diplomacy, or ur games was very disgusting. 1) to be a good ally is different to be a good player. I see a lot of sheeps to be good ally, and make the game very sad making illogical presents to other players 2) A. to prevent u to take sicilia? u have a greet knife in is back B. u r growing too much.... ah yes, rome is a sheep with knife in back....C. and the fleet chain? :D ridiculous. D.ok , the fall in the game is rome.E.... ok. this game has no reason to continue. I hope to meet u in a better game ps: learn to play |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 6: I hope i don't meet you in another game to be perfectly honest. You are a self righteous bigot who doesn't have the decency to finish out a game that he is losing in just because it didn't go his way. Also, to reiterate something for you that you so obviously missed ... C. What if you had moved out of Crete and my fleet moved in unhindered? Im i always to assume that you will properly cover your SC's when you are focused somewhere else? Also if i had not advanced my fleet chain what would that say about my intentions to my ally? For the past 4 turns i have kept units at his back door claiming that they were to make sure that i couldn't be stabbed and that i had no where else that they would be of use. As corny as it may sound that is exactly why they are there but how could my ally be sure? By setting my units to advance like they should it confirms to my ally that i mean what i said about our arrangements. p.s.s. Learn how the game works. |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 6: boring. i'd like to see u in a real game, with the possibility of a betrayal |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 6: This is a real game and there is always a possibility of being betrayed. |
