29 Aug 22 UTC | Thank you guys, very nice game ! The end was particularly interesting. |
29 Aug 22 UTC | Not sure why Egypt attacked Persia. The stalemate line was set. Then I misordered Aegean Sea to lose Sparta. Perhaps I should never have eliminated Rome to force the 5 way draw. |
29 Aug 22 UTC | Well done Carthage. The Greek move to eliminate Rome seemed ominous, and fortunately I guessed the right moment to shade back East just as Egypt was trying to do the same to me. |
29 Aug 22 UTC | I understand not wanting to settle for a five way draw though. |
30 Aug 22 UTC | Yeah, I made the wrong decision there. Sorry Sam, I was trying to support you into Mes. Sea to make a stalemate line. We never had it once Carthage sent an army into cyrene (which he eventually did). |
30 Aug 22 UTC | When i moved back so that Greece could kill Rome, i was honestly thinking i could not win as i failed to convoy into Cyrene and i was honestly looking for a 3 way draw. But then i saw that Greece did not move against Persia (it was quite obvious that Persia would try to survive) and i was surprised with how many units Egypt moved against Persia. So i tried once more as i realized i had enough fleets to win |
