15 Jun 22 UTC | Spring, 1999: It strikes me that this map is somewhat unusual, in that the countries on the east side of the map are clustered much more closely than in the west. Quebec and I are unique in that we actually share a border, while Florida and Cuba, Texas and Mexico, and New York and Heartland are only one space apart. Meanwhile, California has oodles of space. |
16 Jun 22 UTC | Spring, 1999: But that is offset by the density of dots. Space isn't necessarily good. |
16 Jun 22 UTC | Spring, 1999: You say that, but you don't have to live this close to Florida Man. |
16 Jun 22 UTC | Spring, 1999: Spoken like someone who has played the Florida Man game |
16 Jun 22 UTC | Spring, 1999: For those of you who don’t know, that game is googling “Florida man” followed by your birthday and reading the news articles. It’s actually a lot of fun |
16 Jun 22 UTC | Spring, 1999: But yes, being near Florida is somewhat uncomfortable |
16 Jun 22 UTC | Spring, 1999: Hey, whoa whoa whoa NY. We ain’t THAT close. |
16 Jun 22 UTC | Spring, 1999: But we are |
16 Jun 22 UTC | Spring, 1999: We ain’t. We are 5 states away. |
16 Jun 22 UTC | Spring, 1999: I'm not New York. We're one apart. |
16 Jun 22 UTC | Spring, 1999: Sorry Cuba, colour confusion. |
16 Jun 22 UTC | Spring, 1999: Yeah, Florida, we are that close: only Cape May and the East Coast separate us. We'll be fighting over the Chesapeake and North Carolina in no time. |
17 Jun 22 UTC | Autumn, 1999: .... Florida. What are you doing? You're getting a bit close there. |
18 Jun 22 UTC | Autumn, 1999: I have to admit, my favorite part of this game may be the dialogue in public chat |
18 Jun 22 UTC | Autumn, 1999: agreed pardner, now, can I get a yee haw |
18 Jun 22 UTC | Autumn, 1999: Yahoo! |
18 Jun 22 UTC | Autumn, 1999: Close |
18 Jun 22 UTC | Autumn, 1999: I lived there for four years and I still can't do it. |
18 Jun 22 UTC | Autumn, 1999: Lol. As an Oklahoman, I can do a decent one |
18 Jun 22 UTC | Autumn, 1999: Yeee-HAW! |
