Spring, 1: Hi all good luck. Greece perhaps we can come to an agreement on wh gets what in Anatolia? Likewise Egypt I'm open to your messages regarding the Middle East. |
11 Nov 10 UTC |
Autumn, 1: Egypt it seems that we are in a position to make sure we start off weaker than anyone else on the board. Shall we discuss who gets Cyprus and who gets Tyre? That way we can both be assured of three builds instead of bouncing each other and only getting two. |
11 Nov 10 UTC |
Autumn, 1: Scratch that not Tyre but Jerusalem. I'd usrge you to take Cyprus and go to Petra. THat way we both get three builds and have the opportunity to grow further without stepping on one another's toes. |

Autumn, 1: I haven't stumbled into a gunboat game, have I? |
11 Nov 10 UTC |
Autumn, 1: Howdy. What about Middle east? Any suggestions? |
11 Nov 10 UTC |
Autumn, 1: Hellow. what is a gunboat game? |
11 Nov 10 UTC |
Autumn, 1: Gunboat is nobody talks. Public press is when we we talk but everything is in global so all the players know what is said. |
11 Nov 10 UTC |
Autumn, 1: Egypt, I'd like it if you'd take Petra and Cyprus and allow me to take Jerusalem. That way we both have a decent chance at seven sc's next year and can avoid stepping on one another's toes. What do you say? |
11 Nov 10 UTC |
Autumn, 1: Wow Egypt, I didn't imagine that you wouldn't go for Cyprus. The deal's still on the table though. You keep Petra and let me have Jerusalem and I'll let you have Cyprus. The Southeast corner is a pretty secure place if we work together. |

Spring, 2: did we lose a player? |
14 Nov 10 UTC |
Spring, 2: I hope not. He wasn't in bad shape even. |
14 Nov 10 UTC |
Spring, 2: Deal is on. Sorry, did not check game status previous to the last moves. |
14 Nov 10 UTC |
Spring, 2: no worries |
14 Nov 10 UTC |
Autumn, 2: Egypt? Why pursue war with me when you have Carthage attacking you? |
14 Nov 10 UTC |
Autumn, 2: Well, deals off I guess if you're going to try for both Jerusalem and Cyprus I have to give you Jerusalem and take Cyprus. It's not what I had in mind, but perhaps we can renegotiate next turn. |
14 Nov 10 UTC |
Autumn, 2: Greece you can see from my moves that I was more interested in keeping my current holding than taking any of yours. Perhaps we can work together and allow you to turn you attention to the encroach of that Roman legion? |
14 Nov 10 UTC |
Autumn, 2: haha. this legion is not attacking you. just establishing a defensive position, esp as Persia may move his chersonesus and sinope units against both of us. I have played that move before. If I were to attack you, it would be with a lot more units at one time. |
14 Nov 10 UTC |
Autumn, 2: That makes sense Rome. I'm playing a pretty defensive game as well. The Dacia move was just to make sure that I wouldn't be looking at Sarmatia and Dacia occupied next year. I'm all about keeping my corner provinces safe. Once again Greece you see that my Sinope and Cappadocia armies are there to hold the line not attack you. If you insist on war it will certainly weaken you and neither of us can afford that. Perhaps if you join me in being merely defensive we can start a dialogue? |
14 Nov 10 UTC |
Autumn, 2: Egypt, my friend, Jerusalem is yours all I ask is that you dmz in Spring of 4, and allow me to pull my Tyre army out. |
14 Nov 10 UTC |
Autumn, 2: Carthage it looks like we have a lcean Yin and Yang thing going on. Separate and equal; moving in complement to one another. Hopefully that prefigures harmonious relations between our two great nations. |
