05 Apr 22 UTC | Spring, 1: Hello, you not-scurvy dogs |
05 Apr 22 UTC | Spring, 1: What-ho! |
05 Apr 22 UTC | Spring, 1: Delenda est Carthago! no wait you're on the other side of the map |
05 Apr 22 UTC | Spring, 1: :D |
05 Apr 22 UTC | Spring, 1: What year are we set in? Am I the Pope? |
05 Apr 22 UTC | Spring, 1: (at least one pope?) |
05 Apr 22 UTC | Spring, 1: Carthage is destroyed in 146BC so I suspect not |
05 Apr 22 UTC | Spring, 1: According to the variant rules, AncMed starts in 1AD, so I hope I have a while yet! |
05 Apr 22 UTC | Spring, 1: I'm tempted in the interests of fairness to let aoei know our relative reputations. :-) |
05 Apr 22 UTC | Spring, 1: :D Sounds fair, although in turn I'd quite like to know theirs, since I don't know who aoei is! |
05 Apr 22 UTC | Spring, 1: On a game mechanics point, it was agreed for the last (cancelled) game that, in the interests of fairness, we would only discuss this game through its own chat function, so as not to put anyone at a disadvantage. Is this agreed for this game as well? |
05 Apr 22 UTC | Spring, 1: I've been operating on that basis. |
05 Apr 22 UTC | Spring, 1: aoei is one of the fastest NetHack realtime speedrunners known. I enjoy backstabbing so much often I'll do it first and wonder if it was a good idea second. Clare and Eliab I'll only describe with permission. :-) |
05 Apr 22 UTC | Spring, 1: oh no |
05 Apr 22 UTC | Spring, 1: i mean hello |
05 Apr 22 UTC | Spring, 1: /me goes bright red and then reads the rest of the scrollback |
05 Apr 22 UTC | Spring, 1: its been a really long time since i ever played diplomacy, i also do not remember how this game works AT ALL, but in the interest of fairness i will state that there's a high chance that i too enjoy a cheeky bit of backstabbing from time to time |
05 Apr 22 UTC | Spring, 1: I think, on this basis, that everyone apart from me has played Diplomacy before. It's a game that I've wanted to play properly for about 30 years but have never really had a decent bunch of people to do so with. By "properly" and "decent", I mean (with) people who aren't likely to scream blue murder, declare "unfair" and stomp off in a huff because they've been stabbed in the back. I don't know whether David's described me already, but I'm more than happy for him to do so if he'd like to! :D |
05 Apr 22 UTC | Spring, 1: you could also describe yourself if you want to :O |
05 Apr 22 UTC | Spring, 1: Captain Clever is very charming. Beware the honeyed words from his silken tongue! |
