04 Dec 21 UTC | Thank you guys for the game! |
04 Dec 21 UTC | Gg all! |
04 Dec 21 UTC | Two key moments 1. Autumn of 04. I miscalculated in the process of invading Carthage and let the Carthaginian fleet behind my lines in Leptis, costing me position and a center. (This happened again with the Persia fleet retreating into Tacape, but that ended up being less consequential.) from that point on I was behind Persia in development. 2. Autumn Builds 09. I was at 9 and Persia at 13. I asked Persia not to build - it would create an imbalance and no way for me to defend from a Persian invasion. With Persia firmly in control of Greece, it looked like a cake walk to the Persian solo if I didn’t switch alliances. So then when Persia did build, I blatantly lied for one turn to get all the information I could from Persia. Good game all and good luck next time |
04 Dec 21 UTC | Egypt, we had an agreement but you chose to put 3 armies at our border to 'make sure I would honor the agreement'. That is not my idea of equality so I felt threatened. I hope you use this experience for future games. |
04 Dec 21 UTC | Oh crap, this is the evaluation of another game ;-) Sorry! |
04 Dec 21 UTC | I didn't think I would survive and Egypt turning was the right decision for both of us. Otherwise, Persia would have won for sure. Growing faster than your ally can be a dangerous thing. |
