11 Aug 21 UTC | Spring, 11: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders. |
17 Sep 21 UTC | I was the last holdout. I needed some time to figure out whether any breakthrough was possible because I'm not so familiar with the map. Good game, well played everyone |
17 Sep 21 UTC | GG all. I thought I was to be supported to get to a 3 way draw but that wasn’t the case. Congrats Carthage on good defense. |
17 Sep 21 UTC | I couldn't think of a path where we could cut Carthage out of the draw; I had put almost 100% of my forces east to stop the Persia solo attempt, and so if Carthage got whittled down as far as I could tell Carthage would just go into my centers in order to stay alive, and even worse that might lead to a solo or something. So because I couldn't think of a way that I could safely help eliminate Carthage, I decided my best option was to just keep attacking east and see what happens. I considered for a while whether we could cut Egypt actually, but it seemed like it would be too easy for Egypt to throw to Persia. |
17 Sep 21 UTC | Whew! My game was simple. Survive. I hated to snipe your centers Rome, but with Egypt coming for me, I needed more units. I thought it was Persia holding out, but once his/her units retreated, I thought it was Egypt, trying to go for the three way. Surprise, it was Rome all along. |
17 Sep 21 UTC | Thanks for the kind words Egypt. |
18 Sep 21 UTC | Wow, a near 30 year Med game. Woof. I was also shocked when I voted draw after Carthage got to 4 SCs and there was still a holdout lol |
