27 Aug 10 UTC Spring, 1901: Hi everyone, were we thinking of pausing the game over the weekend?
27 Aug 10 UTC Spring, 1901: That's fine with me. Do we have to agree not to make any moves, or is there a pause button on this thing?
27 Aug 10 UTC Spring, 1901: I'd like to pause since I'll be gone starting this evening. Down below the map and your orders there is a 'Votes' bar and Pause is one option. If people want to wait until the moves have gone through to pause that's fine with me. I assume that a majority is needed so even if I'm not able to vote it would go through.
27 Aug 10 UTC Spring, 1901: Do you guys want to pause today's move or Monday's move?
27 Aug 10 UTC Spring, 1901: I guess as long as I have enough time on Monday to message people and determine my moves (which should be pretty simple at this point) we can go on without pausing.
29 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1901: (TheGhostmaker): Force-paused
29 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1901: (TheGhostmaker): If that is a problem for someone, please PM me
30 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1901: Are we ready to unpause?
30 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1901: I am.
30 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1901: how do you vote to unpause?
30 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1901: never mind I figured it out
31 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1901: Are we allowed to chat during builds? I thought that in the original Diplomacy rules we couldn't, but this seems to allow us to.
31 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1901: yeah, we're allowed to chat during builds
04 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1902: If Germany never hits 'ready', will his saved orders go through, or will he have no move for this turn?
04 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1902: Never mind :)
06 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1902: Hey that's funny... when you get down to 5 minutes left in a phase it starts counting off the seconds.
09 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1903: Pamphlets have started to be dropped into Munich. They are in both French and German, praising the accomplishments of the German people in the 19th Century and decrying the current regime. It asks people to stay away from military installations and promises that France will rule them fairly and benevolently.
17 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1904: Since there are some relatively new Diplomacy players in this game, I feel compelled to remind everyone about the rule that you can't retreat into a territory where a standoff just occurred....
18 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1904: It won't actually let you make any illegal moves, so I wouldn't worry too much.
18 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1904: I just didn't want anyone to be surprised if they couldn't move somewhere they thought they could. Not thinking about anyone in particular.... :)
21 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1904: That's kind of mean... the system makes Germany disband his last unit, even though he has no choice.
25 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1905: I noticed that Turkey left the game. How does one "leave" the game? Is it just because he was inactive for several turns?
27 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: Oh hey, Turkey's back. :)
04 Oct 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: Hey everyone, I guess that pretty much clinches the game. I had meant to send out reminder emails to everyone about their turns (as I usually do), but I was distracted all afternoon until it was too late.

So, shall we start another game now? Peter and I can clean this one up. ;)
06 Oct 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: Good game everybody. I can see we're at a stalemate. Shall we call it a draw?
06 Oct 10 UTC Spring, 1907: Heh heh
06 Oct 10 UTC Spring, 1907: Actually, I agree with two out of three of your statements: It was a good game by everybody, and we should call it a draw, so we can start a new game! But I think the game is almost over, because Peter (or I if I'm lucky) will get 18 centers by next year.
06 Oct 10 UTC Spring, 1907: We could compromise and play the next turn... I think a lot will happen this turn.
